Whenever I tell anyone I played this game for 6 years they just look sad for me.
I'm definitely not going to be sharing how I grinded on 3 separate devices
The longest I played an MMO continuously was just over eight years. I had over 48 alts when the game shut down, and my main had about 10,000 hours of play time logged into it. MCOC is still a kinda light hobby for me.

I'm still on the fence with this one. It's been a legitimate action since these Events started. Personally, I have one Account. However, I'm not convinced it's a major issue. If someone has that much time and energy on their hands, it's really not affecting me. The other side of it is I could see how it could be milked. I'm just not completely convinced it's unfair. I think this has more to do with the "competitiveness of F2P" than anything. Which BG is concerned with. I'm not of the same mindset of F2P/P2P, or any comparison or competition therein. I think there's way too much stock invested in that pride. I suppose I'm cool either way. If something is actually egregious or unfair in an imbalancing way, I'm all for action. If it's just because of having eyes on the plates of others, meh.

I haven't read the whole thread but afaik doesnt the gifting badge have requirements on account age? I dont think accounts older than several months can get it - that's what I recall form last year. I dont think ppl can make new accounts now and earn it within a month unless the period for it is shorter or now changed to summoner level.
They’ll go silent, act as if this doesn’t need to be addressed, let everyone who plans on doing this do it and grind their life away in hopes of reaping the benefits then and only then sometime around mid December after everyone already grounded thousands upon thousands of units, played for countless hours then they decide to make some casual announcement which will negate everyone’s hopes of becoming ggc rich. Some rule will ne casually implemented or something all while they act all innocent to the situation, as if they had plans to do that all along.
I'll just be using the alts i made last year and just gain the units from act3 plus buying the 5x peter parkers wallet as well. Which will net me around 35 ggcs.

Oh, didn’t realise you didn’t need valid email address. FairPlay in the 26k of units. But I think Kabam will up the level required to make you at least earn right to be able to gift your units and not keep it at level 15. But they may just keep it as it is and see what the impact is of this first. Who knows.

This is one thing now kabam will fix. No fake email IDs can be used. People debugging stuff for them. Why will they do the testing when the entire community is a bunch of debuggers!
I honestly believe that people should play the game how they want to. As long as it doesn't mess around with any competitive modes and they are doing it without bots. If they want to farm 3 accounts on 3 phones , and that's how they enjoy the game I don't see anything wrong with that.
As far as Kabam goes they are engaging with the game 3 different times and time is always the biggest currency in the real world. They are more likely to recommend a friend as well.
If cheating is the concern I understand. If deciding how people spend time is his concern who cares.
You can see a player skip 100% exploration of a Act 6 and Act 7 and still end up TB. Just because we had to work a little harder and put more time in doesn't necessarily mean they they have to as well.

There really isn't a way to appease everyone and that is a problem in itself. These sweeping generalisations of “everyone’s just jealous” or “everyone’s just upset” don’t help anything. If people actually want to have a discussion then you need to listen without painting everyone as jealous or upset.

Only allow gifting between players of the same alliance and only allow gifting for players who have been in the alliance for a month. That should discourage most people from trying to exploit this.
While I understand the logic of this, I'm personally against it as I have a kids that play but are not as active as I am therefore not in the same Alliance. I shouldn't be restricted from gifting with them.

I 100% agree with this. People in top alliances already spend a lot of money or grind their life away to stay at the top. This hardly matters to them. Everyone else who is not as competitive is hardly going to be affected by a couple of hundred people gifting themselves from their alt accounts. Bots existed in the past and they still do. Whether they farm 50k units or 200k units, it really doesn’t affect me or my game progression in any way. If someone wants to grind non stop for the next 45 days to gift themselves GGC, so be it. Why should this be a problem? And really interested to know how this upsets game balance? I have heard people fighting that SoP by handing out t5cc to cavalier players really upset game balance. But we are still here. And the game is still here. What balance did it upset and how is this event going to do it yet again?
Make level 40 or something the requirement for gifting.
That is clearly the best solution. I think level 40 is too low. Maybe 55. If you are so new to the game you are a low level you have no business getting the content from GGC. Clearly the number of people who disagree with your post means it is a good idea. People are mad they wouldn't be able to abuse it.
Honestly I do not care if they address this. Whales can take advantage of GGCs, so why not FTP?
