Comp using specials diff from way players can use specials

Ok, so what's b.s. about the game is,,
Ok so say when you are fighting in quest and comp has L3 special, they can use any L special they choose or even if if just has L2special it can choose to use special L1 back to back. We cannot do this as the players.
Here's an example of the b.s. I'm talking about,,
I was fighting WM in the valor quest,, yea I let him get his L3 saved so here's the b.s., instead of hitting me with the L3, ( just like the player has to when it's saved up. Even L2) ( you know what I'm talking about) anyways, he hit me with that L2 and then an unblockable L1. ****! So I had to dodge a freakin hammersmash punch followed by a rocket, then immediately evade a million bullets coming at me.
Anyways this can happen with all the champs used by the comp which is b.s. because the player does not have that option. Is this ever going to change or is this just part of the game I need to deal with that will never change?

Was his l3 enabled, a lot of the game did not allow the computer to use l3 for a long time, it has become norm now but things like act 1,2 and 3 and rol the Ai cannot even use the l3, not sure a ot th Valor quest. But Check
If the nodes say 3rd special activated

Agree. WM probably can't use special 3. So, it fires off special 2 and then followed with special 1.

Summoners can almost do the same. When the power bar almost hit 3 bars full, launch special 2. If it lands, power will accrue and special 1 is ready.

So you are complaining that you didn't get rekt by a SP3?

    Wow, that's a first.

it would be nice if players were allowed to choose as well. i know a couple of champs which i'd love to be able to chain L1's together

Thank You! that's exactly the option we need

I know some champs have s3 disabled so will use s2 then s1 but I was fighting the carnage boss in master a few days ago.
He got his s3 (which is enabled) but used an s1 then an s2.
He also used an s1 when he only had 2 bars of power.

I thought it a bit odd at the time but assumed carnage had some weird ability and he's so easy to beat anyway

The point I am making is the comp can use back to back specials and the player cannot. That's it and it is b.s. I don't care about all that other sp3 activated ****, that's not my point.

In most quest content, aside from act 5 and master-level quests, the AI has special 3 deactivated. It's not BS or ****, its protecting you from taking an unavoidable sp3.

Some quests have the L3 disabled so champs will use an L2 instead

Just curious on this one myself. What's the difference between the following?
    1. "A third special attack has been enabled" node, so 3 bars and uses sp3's
    2. A champ with only two bars of power available (third sp not enabled?)
    3. A champ with all three power bars enabled but when full, firing off a sp2 followed by sp1(I'm guessing this is the scenario that the OP is questioning?)

I thought when sp3 was "disabled" in some of the suggested scenarios there would only be two available power bars.
So when and why would there ever be 3 bars and no sp3 or chaining sp2 and 1 from 3 bars (which is not available to us when sp3 is enabled?)

No, they can get up to 3 power bars when it’s disabled but will fire off a sp2 when full. And they could follow up an sp2 with an sp1 right after.

So maybe not exactly what OP thought but a useful tool indeed that we do not have. IMO in many cases this would be much more useful than an SP3 of many champs. What may look like "Sparing us the SP3" seems MORE useful I would think.
SW, there are times I'd way rather hit SP2 followed by SP1 and be done!
Or nullify, then power lock with Magik sp1 then sp2.

If the AI has a third special enabled and gets three bars, it can only use a L3. If the L3 is not enabled naturally it can only use a L2 but since that doesn't burn all the power it still has a L1. The player always has the L3 enabled so obviously this doesn't happen with the player. There is nothing to see here.

Ok then it is bs when the comp DOES have the option to fire off 3 back to back special1s. That's the only point I'm making don't bore me with ur comments about ANYTHING else.

No AI can fire 3 back to back sp1 unless you have proof have of this

Ur missing it still. the only thing I want everyone to get is, the comp has options the player does not. I mean ****, I might wanna hit someone with special 2 then follow it with special 1.
  • Deadbyrd9Deadbyrd9 Member Posts: 3,469 ★★★★
And the AI that can do that is missing something we have. The sp3

the op is either severely handicapped or trolling.
if the AI has a full 3 bars of power they cannot fire off 3 special 1's in a row.
if the opponents special 3 is not activated then at a full bar of power they will only use the sp2

No. You can't gain power from special attacks

It's not an option, it's a restriction. The AI is restricted from using SP3, and can only use SP2 followed by SP1.

If you want that restriction on you....well, let's just say that one day you will be glad that Kabam prevented you from opting for the stupid route.

First time hearing that a player actually wanna give up his option of using SP3 just so he can fire off SP2 and SP1 consecutively.

You do know that SP2 can't infinitely chain into SP1 right? The timing to chain those 2 together is not there. The only reason you got hit by both is because of your slow reaction. If you try to do the same to the AI they will block your follow up SP1.

Stop being a dumbass. I never said I wanna give up the option of sp3. All I said is I want the same **** options as the comp. and I didn't get hit with em just he fired em. I ain't no rookie mfr. I know how to **** dodge.

And when the comp has 2 bars of power they can fire back to back special 1s. No not 3.I know, but it can fire them rite after. Just give us that same option.

The ability to use any special when you want is a good idea (assuming you have the power required of course). No reason why it shouldn't be implemented. Increases both the skillcap and gives you more options in a fight. Most of the L3s in the game are garbage anyway and are only used if they have some kind of utility

This is of course if they can implement it without a plethora of bugs... As if that's ever gonna happen
  • AdepteAdepte Member Posts: 6
    I'm just loling of this.
Op is just dumb to think that we would love to have the same option : enable 3rd special...

But the topic is still interesting, it would be nice to be able to fire the sp you want
