4* Awakening Gem

in Strategy and Tips
So I’m a 51k player, but with only 2 R4 4*, I won’t be able to compete act 4. Signature abilities tho, do help quite a bit. I have a 4/40 IceMan right now, and he’s dying to be awakened. Is there anyway I can acquire a 4* gem without doing act 4?

    If you can't do the more difficult content, the other option is wait for 4* awakening gem offer using units.

    Why you need iceman to be awakened? He is ok without his sig. I used him in AW for a long time before I have dupped him. And I have the mutant and generic aw gem, but I think Iceman is already good.

    If Iceman is in such dire need to be awakened, then all you need to do is land an L1 and boom he's awakened.

    Iceman doesn't need to have his sig level unlocked. Better to use that awakening gem on Wolverine, or Arch Angel, X-23, or hell even storm. Iceman doesn't need his awakening ability to be great. He's awesome without it. It's just a little extra icing (pun intended) on the cake. where as the other mutant champs need that awakening to be very very good champions. Wolverine and AA turn into the top champs in the game.

    Furthermore, You're only going to get 2 4* generic awakening gems. You should do a little research as to who to apply that to once you acquire one. Good luck out there.

    I'd encourage you to be patient too. With a new calendar coming out soon and a likely Christmas calendar too there should be ample opportunities to expand your roster.

    @Rømyjart Back in Sept they had a 4* awakening gem offer for 1000 units, it gave 4* shards and stones too. So save your units for next time it comes around. Getting 100% completion in the monthly quests gives a decent amount of units, so does the basic arena milestones. Try not to spend units on prem or featured crystals unless you're feeling lucky. Units are better spent on masteries and those kinds of offers.

    Yea.. I never open phc because all they give you is 2 stars. I’m currently saving up for parry so once that’s done I might as well start saving up for the gems

    I'm only 72k and only have 2 r4 4 stars and 1 r2 5 star and i'm almost to maestro. I'm trying to get regeneration mastery.

    As soon as you unlock and master parry and dexterity you shouldn't have many problems to deal with in Act 4. I myself had some 3* in my questing team before I reached 4.3

    Ice duped is an NC/Spiderman killer. Ice unduped needs to get to an L1 and successfully land it to be a NC/Spiderman killer. If your job is to clear NCs/Spidermen in AW, you need that duped Ice.

    Unless it's stun immune. you don't. Especially if it's Nightcrawler. A stun immune Spiderman is the only situation where a duped iceman is viable. (that doesn't even account for the other champions who can counter this guy, Black Widow, Gwenpool, AA, Etc) But the other 99% of game play Wolverine, AA, Rouge, X-23, Storm, have much better awakening abilities.

    Also, you completely proved the point of landing an l1 awakens the champion. All you have to do is land the L1 anyways and it's done. You are in control of your own destiny, yadda yadda yadd
