Except it isn't good for any of those reasons. It takes ~225 rounds of this arena to get those rewards. If I did the basic and summoner trials arenas, I would get them in ~50 rounds.

Profile Pics, Titles, and 2 Star Nexus crystals would have been some helpful improvements at minimum.

I'm genuinely curious about the reasoning behind the people disagreeing here. The game has progressed greatly since this event was first introduced. Shouldn't events progress with the game? If not, then let's also revert the updates and QOL changes that the Summer Event received since last year.

@Odachi posted screenshot from LAST YEAR’s equivalent arena, and it took 219 matches in order to reach topmost 4m milestone in 6* shards version of this one.

This years points would seem to put it about the same.

Tell me with the current game economy, why would I play this much arena for 10k 6star shards when Cav EQ and SQs are giving me better rewards?!

I enjoy this event. I like grinding arena and the rewards are better than the average arena. If you hate grinding arena then I get the disappointment. 200 rounds isn’t that much in 7 days for a regular grinder.

When this event first came out it took my maybe 3 months for me to get a 6* champion. Because of that the rewards felt like they were worth the effort. Nowadays 6* shards are so abundant to have to grind something like 6-8 hours seems like far to much effort for me and not worth the time. Others with similar accounts may feel different. There are some in my alliance who are absolutely going to put the time in.

This event feels like work, not like a celebration. I get the need to have to put in effort, I really do. But events like this really need to move on with the times. All other parts of the game have rewards that alter over time to match the current economy. MEQ, SEQ, AQ, AW all have rewards buffs because if the rewards buffs. Imagine doing AQ or AW with the rewards of 2 years ago. This is just my opinion and not a rant, or a demand. Just feedback that if the aim of this is supposed to be a celebration that anchors players to the game, to make us feel special and want to continue to play, it misses the mark for me. Maybe the event needs to be tiered by progress level so rewards matched closer to the effort level put in.

Yeah, but all areas of the game get buffed rewards over time. AQ, AW, MEQ, SEQ, The Summer Camp rewards, the arenas themselves with intro of the 6* arenas. All of the rewards have been buffed. For every hour we spend in every other area of the game we get more rewards for our time compared to 1 or 2 years ago. This event hasn’t.

So if it took 6-8 hours to complete 2 years ago, no one would begrudge it if it still took 6-8 hours now, if the rewards evolved like every other area of the game.

i hate arena with all my strengh, but i ll take my 2* for a spin, specially cause i want to those collector crystals so i can get more unique 2*s, and ofc the fragments will be nice.

Some people like the Arena, some don't. It's like any other aspect of the game, really. We're all free to pass if we're not interested. Personally, I'm happy to use my 2*s. I don't get to dust them off very often. Plus, we have 7 days to complete it.

So I try ro look at this as a business perspective and can't seem to make sense of it.

This Arena will not generate Kabam any income, as it is purely a milestones grind it out type, not like other Arena that players might spend units to get in the top 500.

With this Arena will require a large amount of time from players, whether you like this Arena or not, and there will those that will spend the time and grind it out and those that won't bother.

So here is the thing, those that will put in the time to grind it will spend less time on other content like Variants, Act 7 or the other Arena, or whatever it might be that require units and generate income for Kabam.

Those that see it too time consuming and won't bother, will feel that Kabam had made the event boring and more like a choir rather than a celebration. Overall feel let down by Kabam.

Either way I can't seem to see how this Arena bring Kabam any benefits.

Unless I'm missing something.

That’s absolutely fair, if Kabam wants to put on an event to celebrate the many in the early to mid tier bracket. I’m saying as a paragon player my feelings is this disengages me with the game more then making it feel like a celebratory event. I believe Kabams intentions are to make this feel somewhat of a big deal like they are doing something special. For me, and possibly a number of people who are at similar progression levels or even more advanced rosters, it doesn’t feel like we’ve been catered for.

39 Rounds of Basic Arena and 11 Rounds of Summoner Trials will get me roughly the same amount of Units, Gold, Battlechips as this Arena does. That was the point I was making. The only reason to run this Arena is the 6 Star Shards, nothing else. Even if you want the 2 Stars, it's better to run the 5 Star and 4 Star versions of this Arena first.
