Prioritise 6* or 7* for next title progression?

I got a thought, currently i want to R2/R3 my 7* as well as R5 my 6*s. Not sure who to focus on. I can offcourse focus on ranking my favourite champs but then if next title says you need 5 R5 6*s and i focused on 7*s instead or both and didn't get to that number then it would be bad. They both share rankup materials. Ideally next title requirement should be that you need x R5 6* or y R2 7* because both are equivalent.
Beyond god tier 6*s need to be maxed but 7*s are also the future.

7* pool is so small right now that I wouldn’t r5 a 6* in it because you’ll likely have them this year or next as a 7*.

That’s the only reason I wouldn’t strictly recommend ranking up your favorites. There’s nothing worse than regretting a major rank up and having to look at them for years till those resources don’t matter anymore.

If they aren’t in the 7* pool, def rank up your favorites.

Don't rank up 7*s if you don't plan on using them, the next profession title will be a ways away and there is still some god tiers 6*s that will be ascendable in the future that won't be in the 7* pool for a long time,if at all.

With how open Paragon has access to t6cc with no announcement of a next progression title yet, it is probably safe to say that the progression title afterwards will either involve ascension or r3 7*s

Having played this game for way too long (and somehow still really enjoying it), kabam’s likely restriction will be having 2 6* R5’s AND 2 7* R2’s forcing a mixed selection and keeping us investing in both rarities

Depending on your roster size, I’d suggest focusing on either 6r5 or ranking up champs you like using

I’m way more interested in the newer champs and having fun with them. The 7* pool is decent, but there’re only a couple champs in there that I really enjoy. I doubt we’ll see champs like fantman and Kate as a 7* for a while so until then, I’ll be ranking up 6* champs

It's just a game choice not a career choice
You will get the progression title someday or the other but if you lose interest in game just because of the title then you might not be in game long enough to get the next one

It took about 18-20 months to get from the launch of TB to the launch of paragon. We’ve had about 14 months since the launch of paragon. 8.3 will probably come out in October. With cyber weekend in November and the banquet in December, something would have to be done. Even now, it’s hard to imagine a new paragon player wanting the same things as me. I get my second r5 tomorrow and I’ve got about 18 r4. I’m nowhere near the bleeding edge of the competition.

Agree. I feel like we had 1 year and a half between Cav (early 2019), TB (late 2020), paragon (early 2022) so if the next one follows the same pattern it should be late 2023.
Don't know why people keep saying next progression is far away. I mean I get it we didn't get all progression based upgrades but I believe in this timing pattern way more.

Next title progression will be 2024 at the least. When paragon appeared, the game had the new, hard to get catalysts, that their first shards were available a year before. Next catalyst is t4 Alpha, that we only saw in pictures so far. So we ll need their introduction first, and I don't think it will be in July 4th, the offers will focus at r5 6 stars and r3 7 stars.

Plus, 7 stars are very fresh in the game, and their pool is very limited and not that exciting yet. I hope kabam knows that we don't need to speed up, we want to pause a little and enjoy our new toys, especially 6 stars r4 and r5.

I can see folks ranking 7 stars if you are: creating content, duped Sunspot or Surfer and are trying to push prestige somewhere awful, or just find them cool as hell. Otherwise, I’m R5ing those 6 star champs that make the game good for me (Herv, Kp, Nimrod, Apoc, and Scorp so far). I will admit, a few R5s were done knowing they pair well with one of the 7 stars I really like (storm, venom, hulk).

But honestly, I didn’t enjoy R3ing sunspot just to get thronebreaker. He did nothing after that. I won’t do that again. My paragon R4s were NF, ultron and Apoc. I wanted all three, all three moved tons of content for me.
