I think this will be a good thing for Phase 4 of MCU.. they need new characters after Avengers 4.. and Xmen and Fantastic 4 universe does bring a lot of options...

I may be in the minority, but I don't mind X-Men being separate from the MCU. the F4 on the other hand could use the boost from the MCU and would fit in pretty well.

That's not entirely accurate. Marvel had said previously that they would not cross promote FF (specifically) with new toys, comics, and other media licensing due to not holding the movie rights. The X-Men Universe was too popular to stop doing comics and media (video gaming) options.

Now that they will have the rights there is at least a chance the FF will join the game.

This gets a little hazy because I don't know how the MCOC deal is structured, and more importantly who it is even structured with. Marvel is no longer a single entity in actual fact: the movie making arm of Marvel, Marvel Studios, is no longer a part of Marvel Entertainment: it is technically an independent division of Disney Studios. Marvel Entertainment owns and controls the comic books, Marvel Studios has full independent control of the movies, and Disney owns them all.

In other words, "Marvel" *still* won't likely get the movie rights to FF, because first Disney is likely to continue to operate the Fox properties independently and second if they shuffle those rights around at all it will most likely be to hand them to Marvel Studios. If Kabam/Netmarble primarily work with Marvel Entertainment for licensing, it is unclear how gung ho they would be to encourage FF work under the current circumstances, or if the reluctance to promote the FF in the first place even still exists ever since the Marvel Studios split basically made the whole thing moot a couple of years ago.

Basically, the situation at "Marvel" is and will likely remain for some time to come, weird.

I may be wrong but I am pretty sure multiple credible sources have said when this deal goes through disney will have the rights to use the fantastic 4, the x men and deadpool in their movie universe
