I used him on some paths in my act 7 exploration and just nukes ever fight I used him. got 4* gambit relic equipped.

His prowess does come in handy, and those SPs hit real hard at their max capacity when they do. Then again, the mutant pool arguably has better champs.

Anyways, I'm sure you know how to play Gambit.. get to 10 prowess.. heavy opponent fire sp2 for big damage.. rinse and repeat..

as horseman of Apocalypse, Gambit gets perfect block when he has 10 prowess.. wish he had better horseman ability thou.

I actually pulled and r2d a domino right before I duped him the 2nd time. She's just nuts. I never use her for bg defense because she nukes so much on offense

He doesn’t take thorn damage on his medium, heavy, sp1 and sp2 attacks
He doesn’t take bleed damage as long as he has his flak jacket, which can heal him with willpower (though this does have pros and cons)
He has high potency concussion on his sp2 that lasts 13 seconds, and with prowess buffs it will pack a punch (without crit it’s a little underwhelming but still)
He can chain-stun with sp1 under certain circumstances.

So you see, he can do many things. He’s got the potentials.

But ramping up that kinetic charge slows down the tempo. He has to hold his guard to gain those charges that he needs to convert to prowess, which doesn’t last indefinitely.
If he cannot take out the opponent while he has the prowess, he needs to ramp up again because there is no means to pause/refresh the prowess buffs.
And that extra work you need to put in to gain prowess is why some people don’t like using gambit. Fight-time tends to be relatively long

Perhaps OP feels the same way when it comes to fight-time

amongst the initial 7* Gambit isn't the worse.. but that is highly subjective to each summoners account.. I have 6* Gambit at rank1 but haven't rank him up.. why? not my favorite playstyle.. true he can do lots of things, but there are other champions that can do more damage and have similar or better damage potential.

Ok. I'm play testing him more. And sure. I did 182k with his l2. But it turns out it's SUPER dependent on landing that crit. Which is super lame imo. It's not consistent. So you put all the effort into getting that perfect prowess L2 and end up with either a huge hit. Or a huge dissapointment. Lol. So I get the pro gambit crowd. That perfect block can be super nice too but still requires two other champs for a back pack. That crowds my roster. Here is a post l2 hit....underwhelming, whereas the one before was legit
