Never done any long form content, it's Necropolis worth targeting?

I'm a relatively new paragon and haven't touched act 8 yet, never done LOL or AOL, but with all the hype about Necropolis, I'm whetting if it's worth targeting before Jan 15?
My main champs are R4 6* or R1 7*. I have Aegon and could burn an AG and 200 sig stone on him and rank him up if needed.
Is it with investing that much into, given I'm unfamiliar with the playstyle, or give it a miss like the rest?

Necro rewards as of now are top of the line and there are extra juicy rewards if u complete atleast 1 run before 15 jan.
I was in the same boat never done any long format content. I did it with my r4 ascended ageon sig 120.
But I started doing lol 10 days ago. 2 more paths of 7 for exploration. I thought it would be easy given the evolution of the characters, rarity and attributes over the years, but it's still challenging to me. global nodes are really simple, pretty much every character becomes stun immune after about 12-15 stuns, and have a random passive evade (they state 1% chance, but it's a a heck of alot more than that imo). and each inside character has a unique added attribute called 'enigmatic' (ie. daredevil opponents take degen while blocking or dr. strange power steal on blocked hits)
health pools are either 1.5 mil or 3.3 mil (inside characters)
this is the simplest, easiest long form content available, and with a roster of 19 r4's, 3 r5's and 19 seven stars, it's challenging to me
I can't even imagine the difference in difficulty (nodes, restrictions, hp, attk dmg), time, unit and potion investment in doing the hardest content available in necropolis
my personal plan is to do it in order. practice. get used to those long 15-20 minutes battles, like it's second nature. lol, then aol, then gauntlet, then eop, then necro. hoping to get there by summer. good luck to you comrade
OP, practice holding a combo in LOL for a few days if you're not used to Aegon, the high cost of losing a combo and get used to the cheesy playstyle (when it gets boring)
When you're comfortable go do Necro.
The rewards are top of the line on a completion pass for 90% of us.
Ive also never done aol lol and never played aegon before necro run yesterday and my advice is Nike, just do it. here are my takeaways from the run:
* I went aegon proxma doom juggs and heimdal, taking doom for airwalker was a mistake for me, i probably played it wrong but after dying twice with barley doing damage i switched to aegon and it was fast and easy took me another 4 revs
* Ramped up aegon on tit and araku
* Aegon took everyone on that path, also CB it was not nearly as bad as i thought with reverse controls at all , took me 5 revs
* i advice you to all in on aegon, take nick fury instead of doom and kill him after youre 999, dont use boosts dont use offensive masteties at all before 999
* buy the pots offers in store youll get a lot of revs, dont go in with less that 100 revs and keep units stashed in case things go sideways and needed to buy more revs
You can also rush the new event quest in few days snd get the tb and cav offers for more revs
Good luck you got this
Necropolis first path was easier than doing Realm of Legends back in the day with only a 4* Starlord. I still have nightmares of getting to a combo over 700 vs Wolverine.
I used a 4* X23.
And a 3* guilly.
As a note, GM isn't really bad. You can get him down to that 1% without always getting him Wounded, just keep chipping away.
I'm even going to do 2nd path.
But for the 3 left paths I planned everything out as well as I could with specific counters. Right side I said screw it and ranked up Ægon from R1 to R5 and ascended him and was able to do almost every fight with him. You just brute force through and you don’t have to do anything fancy. I don’t regret it.
Since I’m only planning on doing a completion (and not exploration at this point), that certainly sounds smart and like something I wouldn’t have thought of.
But can anyone confirm that this is the case that will work, ascending a champ AFTER they’re already in this content will still reflect the change?
However its completely uncessary, you're going to be ramped up after 2 fights anyhow.
