PSA: In SQ, you only need to do 2 paths each week per difficulty for exploration, not 4

Make sure you always take the ambush paths on your 2 runs and you can then ignore the single untravelled dashed path between two nodes when going for exploration. I've been playing MCOC since the beginning and still thought I needed to do 4 paths each week before seeing that comment

To Kabam's credit, it was highlighted in bright orange on the in-game message they sent. Still, I'll keep advocating that information needs to be at point of use.
I was thinking that perhaps they could colour the path blue, meaning that you don't need to worry about any of the remaining dotted sections. They already have red for paths you can't do.

I guess thanks for keeping this in the minds of those up here who keep asking “do I need to run both paths”.
But strange that Reddit post was only just yesterday, when Forums here have been saying that since day-2 (if not day-1) of Side Quests this month.

Sundance is saying if you have ALREADY run it once, taking the shortcut, you can at least accomplish the Abmush Target Objective Fight while running it properly 2nd time. Instead of having to find that Target elsewhere in game to complete that solo Objective.

I was meaning if you need to fight someone for the fight X 3 times objectives, like Abs Man, take the short cut route to get to him instead of wasting energy - and time doing the ambush fight- when you go through a second or third time to do those fights. redoing the SQ routes where those characters are saves fkcing around looking for duel targets or hoping you fight someone in arenas.

I started the day with BW and QS saying 2/3 complete, and despite running both paths once in TL5 and TL4, it still shows 2/3.

Did you change your team? Im too lazy to check right now, but I got dinged my second fight on Howard the duck because I beat him with the wrong tagged champ. I can’t remember what the tags were for BW or QS, but it’s possible that could be it.

...I think it's understandable why many players would assume they need to run this months SQ path a 2nd time. Hopefully this post will inform more players about how path exploration works.

1 is a map fix and you quite literally circled a node. In 2 there are still nodes on every path there

Is it intentional that today’s lower path has almost the exact same nodes as last week’s upper path?

Got a light, clean slate, pleasure to burn + unblockable…

Was annoyed by the last one… at least this week’s unblockable mechanic seems easier to handle…

You call doing 4 fights before that fight a shortcut? Just find him somewhere else in game, no? Arena, duel targets, etc..

I dunno, man, I just do my objective runs eith whatever team/tag it calls for and if there's a 3rd fight you need to do, find a duel target and be done with it.

To each their own though.

That does however explain how I got all 3 everytime so far, lol
