Crossbone not negating limbo

I just noticed today while doing aq that during overrun n when crossbone had 5 fury buffs which totalled a 110% reduced ability accuracy still didn’t stop limbo from occurring.

This is something only noticed today, anyone else seen this happen.

His ability to decrease defensive ability accuracy is not a flat 22%, which means that it doesn't reach 100%.

@connect, I saw this once before, so I was under the impression that, with 5 fury it is enough to reduce enemy's by 100%

However, I'm always wondering (didn't research more or experiment myself), is CB's fury stack & Def Abi Red count by:-
1) For 5 fury, 22%+22%+22%+22%+22% = max @ 100% reduced = 0% left on enemy
or
2) For 5 fury, (1-0.22) x (1-0.22) x (1-0.22) x (1-0.22) x (1-0.22) = 0.288 = 28.8% left on enemy

I haven't been paying attention to my CB recently. Will try to keep an eye when I manage to get 5 or more fury stack. Happy New Year.

1) get hit and reach a power bar (def ability)
2) hit you and reach a power bar (att ability)

If is 2 then crossbones wont stop the limbo

CB has a multiplicative AA reduction per fury stack. The mbch site is wrong. He can never have a 100% AA reduction
At 5 stacks, he has a 72.93% AA reduction

Those articles have been translated from Russian to English so some typographical/grammatical errors are expected. Other than small technical stuff like this where Kabam themself haven't written clear descriptions, the information in that website can almost be blindly trusted

I already understand that if magik gained power via attack which causes limbo.

I was the one attacking n not her which activated the limbo, I’m not sure why you’d think I’m a noob n wouldn’t understand limbo.

Also the question was regarding the fury buffs n having 5 or being on overrun would still activate limbo.

I wish I had recorded the fight but a basic fight

The ability node makes sense, I used crossbones for war for years when there was a thorns path and I always seemed to negate thorns and abilities once I was over 5 furies,

CBs furies are multiplicative not additive. His ability reduction equals 0.22^n (where n is number of furies he has), and cannot get to 100% reduction, just close

I believe you are operating under a misconception. You believe that the phrase "defensive ability" refers to any ability that is triggered by being attacked. That's false. Every ability either is or is not a defensive ability by design. Magik's ability to trigger Limbo when her power crosses a threshold isn't sometimes a defensive ability and sometimes not. Abilities are either defensive by design or not. Her ability to trigger Limbo when her power bar crosses a threshold is not obviously (always) a defensive reaction, so the developer who created the ability did not tag it as a defensive ability. So it is not affected by ability accuracy reduction that only affects defensive abilities.

In other words, the phrase "defensive ability" refers to a kind of ability. It does not refer to any ability depending on how it is triggered.

I don't believe this is true. In my experience Crossbones' AAR has operated as if it was additive.

In either case, it certainly wouldn't be 0.22^n. Crossbones AAR varies by sig level and also has a class advantage/disadvantage component, but if it were multiplicative it would be 1 - (1 - 0.22)^n where n was the number of stacks. I have no idea how people are proposing to factor in the 15% class effect. However none of the possible multiplicative formulas matches my experience with the champion.

My mistake, I conflated his shrug off percentage and his AAR percentage which is a flat 22%. I stand corrected. However, my previous experience with stacking fury and AAR is way outside the margin for error for multiplicative stacking. That isn't subjective. At five stacks the difference between effective 100% DAA and 76.3% DAA is something that is testable. I think I'm going to need to go back and test this carefully to see if this has changed.
