i can't keep up with champs anymore

too many abilities, complex interactions, and champs tend to have a novel's worth of abilities that takes too long to learn. i can't do it. anyone else barely getting by in battlegrounds because of this?

Finally someone spoke it. It's like Kabam has a new mechanic to release with each champ. But most importantly it's becoming stressful with all the solo objectives,SQ, EQ and Gauntlet, with other special events.
However the fact that champs are being made complicated doesn't change. Previously champs were simple with easy rotations, but now you need to do a thesis on abilities of each new champion

I dont find it that complicated to learn and remember most of the new interactions, just need to somewhat understand what new champs do and find some counters

The multitude of nodes , synergies, buffs, debuffs, and even relic interaction creates a complex fight data.

I have a rule of thumb.
If the Champions abilities segments are longer than 2-3 paragraphs, automatic ban.

@Rayven5220 so this. If I don't watch videos on how they work and how to counter them, I just power through with herc, or typical hard counters to the class, kingpin, nimrod etc.

There are so many I've not read about and don't know why things happen in the fights when they do.

Onslaught, fantman, Adam, photon, shocker, werewolf, misty, infamous, sauron, scorpion, spot, maestro, bullseye, dust, viv. There will be more I'm not thinking of at the mo.

And it's probably the ones that counter their typical hard counters, or most of the class, that are most frustrating; maestro, bullseye, dust.

That works in questing (though I rarely use herc for questing nowadays, I find him boring) but in BG's it screws me because unless I get that one counter I'm really good with against the champ, I'm in for a rough time.

From champs to nodes - (for crying out loud, the latest side quest was more complicated on nodes than most chapter bosses in Act 7 and 8) - the game is getting too cute by half. Seems like everything is tuned to the MCOC YouTube content makers. The rest of us just want to mostly punch guys with our favorite Marvel champs in a mobile game - not construct diagrams and charts of the small windows when that is allowed to happen.

I’m with you on that, I like to just punch my way out of it sometimes so choose to avoid photon, onslaught, bullseye etc where I can.

It’s just fun to smash with an Adam or stealthy, see what happens and hope the big yellow numbers make their hitty bar get smaller.

I am still impressed at how kabam can make so many new mechanics with like 4 inputs though, but then I was mind blown when they introduced power sting when Yellowjacket got released 😂

Agreed, and it wouldn't be so bad if some of these champs were at least relevant offensively but so far the only meta relevant ones have been the defenders.
Chee'ilth, White Tiger, Ironheart, Destroyer and (based on what I saw from the deep dive) Spider Punk are all just not relevant imo like I genuinely have no interest in ranking them up or using them. They have multiple abilities, decent utility, cool animations and good damage but I struggle finding a place for them in my deck or questing teams and unless I had the 7* versions I just don't see a point to even invest in the 6* versions.

Also as a side note, Prowler's rotation looks like a nightmare to pull off for... well for no reason, he puts the same numbers as Ironheart in the same amount of time with the same debuffs (incinerate or rupture).
Like, what's stopping kabam from making prowler or ironheart immune to neuroshocks? There's not a single champ in the game completely immune to onslaught's neuroshock.

Exactly, I get that it might be a bit too early since the defenders just came out but for the love of God at least make the new attackers relevant in some way lol. I have literally zero reason to take Prowler or Ironheart over Shocker, FAM, Red Skull, Shuri or Warlock, zero.

don't bring the game down? i'm not asking for changes. it's on me if i'm not able to catch up with all the new champs, but battlegrounds is slipping through my fingers.

Personally, I think they should take 2-3 months of not releasing new heroes but fix the old instead.

Thats why I haven't been getting them, the prime is under the wife's email.

I do the arena to get the 3 and 4*, was just wondering if I had missed something, and I apparently have without having prime.

The problem is that they have to release 2 champs every month to make money making things increasingly complex. They could stop releasing champs for a year and it'd be fine. I'd support the game in other ways.
