It is an annoying node; and at the very least, Kabam should introduce some code to prevent it being randomised alongside nodes that inflict Heal Block.

However, there are some ways to turn it to your advantage.

Champions with Indestructible/Immortal mechanics can ignore the damage, but still get the health back as though they'd lost it.

So, you can actually use this node to Heal substantially with Hercules, Corvus, and Captain Marvel Movie. I've used those three successfully - I haven't tried Luke Cage and Hela, but it should also work for them, too.

Also, if you max out the Recovery Mastery, as long as you survive the initial Health Loss, almost any champion can recover more health than they lost.

Three champions can't: Daredevil, Attuma and Kingpin all have reduced Regeneration rates, and recover less health than they lost.

I think the only purpose of that node is to make people heal their champions before entering (through heal node or items) coz if you don't, you die. perhaps its for skilled players who enter fights with low healths and just cheese everything

It should be like thanos from the gauntlet second phase where you lose 50% of current health and not 50% of max health
