Wow. I can’t believe Kabam has decided Serpent isn’t overturned and ridiculous. No changes to how he interacts with nodes and no changes to be able to take him down with more competitive scores. The rebalance program is a farce and a joke.

Pretty sure most of us saw that one coming after the Ironheart fiasco, Destroyer has the damage he's supposed to have the ramp is just slow. However, leaving this guy as is when even Bullseye got a slight nerf is just... I don't even have words for this, I'm in a state of shock right now.

Bullseye gets a small tune down and he gets nothing? Bullseye was “oh he’s a little too hard in matchups where the opponent isn’t using a bleed immune” as if serpent doesn’t screw over 99% of champs in the game in any general matchup. Bleed immune champs are everywhere, serpent counters are not. I’m usually on Kabams side but wtf is this?

The rebalance program was never indicated to be a nerf machine. It's entirely dependent on what their goals for specific Champs are, and they've never severely altered any Champs since the current program has begun.
Some Champs are just stronger than others at some aspects, and that's always been the case. I've seen a number of Champs that have been called too powerful over the years, and within 6 months time, people were so used to fighting them that they were scarcely challenging anymore.

This is beyond too strong. He counters way too much and the way he interacts with certain nodes is way too punishing. Extend and Rich Get Richer is going to be rough. Power snack and conflictor aren’t any better. The rebalancing program should be able to realign champs that need it, whether adjusting up or down. Serpent needs to be adjusted down.

When you draft Bullseye and they draft a counter: **** they drafted Bishop/Domino/Sinister/Negasonic/Iceman/Starky/Onslaught/CGR he's going to get nuked.

When you draft Serpent and they draft a counter: oh they drafted Kushala/Chavez/Sasquatch/CGR/Wiccan/SymSupreme it's still a 55-60 sec fight I don't care I can still beat that score.

I really don't understand wtf they were thinking here, all the Serpent counters are still so slow you stand no chance.

I'm curious as to what the thought process behind this was, I want to know what part of Dex Removal, Strong Power Gain, Death Immunity, Pierce and extreme Tankiness was healthy for the game.

There were so many little things they could’ve done. Lessening him in any area would’ve made a nice difference, but no, nothing.

I already have such a love/hate relationship with bgs and every time I try to get back into it I get something pushing me out. Bad ai, unbalanced metas, lag, loading times, and now the worst of defenders being allowed to run rampant. I’m done.

Even with said counter it's not an easy fight and u have to deal with the sig ability, add in nodes for more power gain and ur eating an sp3. This is ridiculous.

Yeah I kinda laugh a little when I see bullseye now. He’s still a good defender ofc, but he was always a frail little guy who gets nuked by a lot. I took up og storm recently and she kills him so fast that he can’t even throw a single special lmao. I could add like another 20 champs to that list, can’t do the same for serpent

I did a Chavez vs serpent fight today. My r3 vs a r5A and it took 80 seconds. So much time wasted, even with the power reversal. You barely crit too so you can get massively screwed (ik it can be done in 55-60 but he wasn’t playing ball). Hate Serpent so much.

Balancing program is cooked. The fact that abs man was capable of getting a slight defensive nerf, while Serpent gets nothing is INSANE

Yeah I don't know how they can even call them counters cause neither of those can deal with some of the bs he has, even though some of them can counter half of his kit, that other half is still ridiculously strong and you either:
A. Take a **** ton of block damage.
B. Eat an sp3.
C. He heals back to like 20% and drags out the fight for another 20 seconds.
Like what do they expect us to even do, I was excited about next season but now I'm just gonna have to take out Serpent out of my deck and permaban him cause of rich get richer.

Hard counters don't help. Due to RNG, you can't count on getting 2 or 3 of the counters. He can't be beaten with most soft counters in BGs in time for it to matter, I'm always taking chip damage from his specials with a soft counter as well.

So I either put my faith in the hands of RNGesus, or I ban him.

Anyways, let me point out the obvious (for most people who actually play the game at least). No defender who has ever been called too powerful since the game's inception was objectively as powerful as Serpent is, you're out of your mind.
That's dramatic.

There are players that are better at the game than you'll ever be and they're saying the exact same things, nothing about this is dramatic, this is the most overpowered defender we have ever had in the game hands down and anyone who thinks otherwise is either just sucking off the devs or plays the game once a week.

I think it says a lot when the community is calling for a champion to be nerfed. Obviously we don’t have the data and don’t know what criteria Kabam is using to say he is fine and doesn’t need rebalancing.

Just a hunch but I don’t think they have the manpower available for the rebalance program at the moment. Hence everyone performing as intended.

I think the most frustrating part is I expect them to not listen to the community. There was a little backlash over bullseye and photon not being changed, but serpent is on a whole other level. The posts made within the last few weeks already prove that. But I guess their DaTa is fully accurate and shows that serpent is super balanced and fair 🤓

The rebalancing program basically only exists to stop another Hercules from happening in the game, with only a couple scenarios where it's been useful such as with Shuri. This decision feels very predatory ngl, because most likely later this year, they'll release a perfect serpent counter that shuts off everything he does, and a lot of people will probably spend some money so that they don't have to deal with serpent anymore.
