BG isn't most important mode but being portrayed as one by content creators.
Evidence: whenever there was deathless piece was there , participation increased like crazy. You can find several posts including how people from 4-5k ranks dropped to 30-40k ranks.

Mags isn't good pick usually in Bags except few metals, meanwhile he is one the best champs in game for metal champs especially in act 6-9 and other end game content

It's funny to say " Champs are judged based on bgs" When bgs aren't even the highest source of rewards. We literally get 33% of a 7* r4 reward and a 7* awakening gem and multiple 7* titans via the new necro challenges, Bgs give you what again?

BGs gives the best rewards in the game atm. Carina challenges are a one time thing. An many cant finish through them.

So my point is that I observed that nobody cares about synergy nowadays bcos synergy doesn't apply in battlegrounds
And some champions are synergy dependent

If we're going to talk about synergies, the issue isn't BGs. The issue is if a champ is only good with synergies. So yeah, not many are out here ranking up Cable or Agent Venom because they require synergies to be most effective. But there are plenty of champs who are good on their own, and even better with synergies. Nobody is hitting pause on them because they can't use their synergies in BGs. Weak champs are weak in every single game mode, not just BGs. And champs that are good in BGs are good in multiple modes, not just BGs. There are players that only do rank-ups based on BGs, but BGs is not the end-all-be-all for the entire game like you think it is.

Omega Red is awesome in my opinion and when was the last time I seen Omega Red in battlegrounds
Now people either regret ranking up 7* Omega Red to rank 3 or they forgot about Omega Red

Hit monkey is all the rage because he can do crazy damage generally, not just in battlegrounds. If I got hit monkey, I would probably be looking forward to melting incursions and 9.2 healthpools

I ranked my serpent to r3 for questing. I used him for basically all of 9.1 including the boss in one run
