Seems weird to be so upset about it as well.

China's most important holiday — the Lunar New Year is also widely celebrated in South Korea, Vietnam and other countries where Chinese residents make up significant parts of the national population, according to the National Museum of Asian Art

Maybe the player base in that area has decreased over time? I had never heard of it until the MCOC event.

Questioning the decisions of those in authority is the healthy and proper way to live . Getting offended and upset that someone is questioning those in charge … now that’s abnormal

Hello. The LNY event had gotten stale over the years. This year we have decided to mix things up a bit and celebrate some different events.

Don't worry, the rewards (especially the Units) will be included as rewards in these other events.

Ok but you do realise you essentially just called a holiday celebrated by over a billion people stale and dismissed it as something not worth celebrating in favor of other events ? Like I get that you probably don’t have a sizeable enough Asian demographic that it pays off enough but still you might want to handle this a bit more sensitive becuse this comes off as really really horrible attitude . This is basic PR especially in light of you know what

Again I am not saying you need to give us tons of rewards or something just literally handle it better and do some basic respectful communication over again an even celebrated by over a BILLION people

Not even doing something as basic as sending a Happy Lunar New Year message to the players ? This is not only deeply disrespectful but it comes as deliberately disrespectful . Like I am honestly as to why you would this ? Again before people start going on rants . This is not about rewards this is about showing a lack of basic respect .
What nonsense. Crashed said that the in game event was stale. This is like saying everyone who didn't like the Banquet is disrespecting Christmas
So you think it won’t be a big deal if Kabam cancels all Christmas events and doesn’t even send a in game message about the Chritstmas holidays ? With their only acknowledgement being a Christmas item in the store ? You won’t find it strange ?
Yes. But I wouldn't say that they're insulting christians all over the world for removing Banquet. If you're insulted by a game event not being there, you really need better things to do in your life
I didn’t ask about your personally . I am asking if it would be a big deal to the public . You honestly thing it wouldn’t be if they go from celebrating the Christmas holidays every year to not only removing the event but not even doing something as basic as sending a Happy New Linar Uesr message

Sorry you feel that way but it explains your insistence that you're right and persistence to keep pushing it.

I was about to the say the same thing to you . I hope that one day you understand that submissive acceptance of corporate power and decisions (or political for that matter ) is always the bad move and you should always question it

Haha. Nice one, so it was never about digital nothing's in a game you are able to access and use for free, where the evil corporation has no power over you whatsoever and isn't denying you anything essential to life or liberty in a bid to keep you downtrodden.

You just wanted a fight. I'm here because I'm bored.

Good luck with it, I'm out.

Even if some events won't be done in the year, I do hope they'll still keep up Titles and Profile Pics as given, I love getting those.

Happy Year of the Serpent everyone.

Kabam will realize, one way or another, that people that don't buy units will still keep not buying units, after these people leave the game.

Yeah, after the 95% of players who don't spend leave the game because the annual supply of in-game units drops from 74000 units to 73000 units, I'm sure Kabam will learn their lesson.

Oh wait, they are going to put those units into other events. Well, I'm sure some players will still quit anyway, because I wouldn't say literacy and computational acumen are universal properties of the playerbase.
I clearly said, "people who don't buy UNITS", I m a spender and I don't buy units, there s a lot of us that spend only for stuff in events, or unit deals to use the units to get the event stuff. Not Extra units.

And that "in other events" is very generic yet, it could be packs of 10 units spread in 5 months, that s not the same, but anyway we still don't know.

I m not even mentioning that year by year the free revives or the events that give free revives are disappearing.

What a pity, I think it's not stale, it's more like traditional, like Lunar new year itself.

Yes because the LNY event was the glue holding the community together.

The super event gives you a free revive everyday. It's fairly new and you barely have to do anything.

People need to stop pretending they liked this event that much and tell the truth. You don't care about LNY, never did. You are just upset you can't send envelopes from the 30 alt accounts to your main account for events like this.

Contradiction its finest folks, saying something is stale but yet EQ has pretty much been stale for long time now, class/basic/alpha arena has been stale as well as the sunday arenas #MakeItMakeSense. Event hasn’t dropped yet but i’m sure it will be a downgrade as far as rewards go compared to the red envelopes & LNY side quest rewards. #FoodForThought 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️💯

We get one free revive/day for ages now. The super event didn't change anything. As you very well know, but you had to add your outdated "opinion" as always.

I heard on global chat that LNY resources are going into a straight pride month event and a Men’s day celebration event, could be just a rumor though.

....you know those don't occur until June right?

People need to stop pretending they liked this event that much and tell the truth. You don't care about LNY, never did. You are just upset you can't send envelopes from the 30 alt accounts to your main account for events like this.

Lies. I actually always loved lunar New Year event. Quick and easy for pretty decent rewards. Extra loyalty, battleships and units were always nice cherry on top. Only thing that irked me was the odd numbers leftover. I know, 8 is lucky in Asian culture. My OCD however hated it.

Well, that sucks! This is a big L, as it was a great short event that many looked forward to annually.
