Countless war deaths, broken devices (I’m sure for some people at least) losses in BG’s, unnecessary deaths in raids- when will it stop Kabam?

I’m done sugarcoating it, this is THE reason for all of my frustration with your game. A game that I want to love playing again.
At this point, just scrap whatever code you have for your AI- and get someone to start from scratch.
This is just ridiculous.

Whether it's intentional AI or unintentional bugs the game just hasn't been fair for players in awhile. And it feels like it's on purpose.....

It is an interesting data point that 90% of all the top BG players continue to play the game while 100% not enjoying it anymore. It implies that the one group of people we don't need to take feedback seriously from is them, because their satisfaction with the game has no impact on their participation, even at extremely high levels.

I'm sure that wasn't the information you intended to provide, but that's what happens when people decide to take hyperbole seriously. That's what makes it dangerous to stand upon.

Another issue myself and others face, is the defender getting stuck holding their block. This happens too many times. Some have had to hit the defender to make it snap out of it. It also happened on nodes when the defender goes unstoppable and will counter you when you hit into their block. Imagine having to hit the defender and risk being countered when it's block locks up....

It's definitely not skill issue for some of the ai behaviours.
When players like fintech and dev DLL talks about some of this stuff, they actually know what they are talking about.
The AI is always changing, thats a fact.
But AI issues is a different thing.
There is a lot of rng going behind the ai behaviour.

There are also a lot of ai profiles active in the game, the map8 is a lot different than a agressive BG ai or smart War ai or the painful turtling story quest ai or the dumb ai in many easy modes.

There is actual issue with AI, the dash back distance for different size champs, that's infuriating too.
Can we call it an ai issues? Or is it a bug?
Is it working correctly for today's standards?

I want to know what kind of the issues actually are. With some examples. AI issues this, AI issues that, take us nowhere.
So many youtubers just blame AI, and that makes more players blame ai for every single issue.

I will trust Fintech with eyes closed if he points out an issue. Not because I'm a fanboy, because he actually explains if somthing happen which is not supposed to happen.

We absolutely cannot generalize any weird AI behavior as an issue. From what I have observed over the years, AI changes a little bit every update. Idk if they are doing it manually or the game learns by itself (Small minor changes but regularly)

I bet Steph Curry would stay silent if he was shooting 3s at a glitchy rim. I mean unless its recorded all issues are imaginary based on some people's thoughts. Cause that's the first thing I say when I am about to do my 4 BG objectives. The first thought is "Lets start recording my gameplay in case something happens"

It's one of the oldest AI glitch.
Idk how to categorise this. Is this a bug or an AI issue?
Theres a work around. Whiff an attack or hit a block. Spam tap block. Dash back spam. We have to input something to reset this glitching behaviour.

It happened to me on the autoblock meta, but I was already aware of it. Sure, first time facing this can be wired. But after that one should know that the glitch happened and they have to reset it.

I'm not defending this AI behaviour. I'm telling what I do when I face this.
You can continue poking kabam. They don't care about this one from what I feel and I can't be bothered to keep bringing it up. I choose to live peacefully.

Oh I am not talking about you buddy. Is OP exaggerated? Probably; but there is this ridiculous idea that you need to show everything for it to be true too. There is no enjoyment in recording everything for bug hunting which is what some people want.
There was enough proof of the AI being weird af on the Heimdall encountern in AoA.

Completely separate from the issue of whether to believe an anecdote or not, there's the issue of what specifically the issue is. If someone says that they were trying to enter a side quest and it wouldn't let them, you can believe them or not but everyone knows what they mean. But if someone says the AI in a fight is "defensive" or a champion "recovers quickly" or things like that, nobody actually knows what those things mean specifically. It could be they are seeing something everyone else can reproduce, or it could be they are seeing something completely different. It could be that what they are seeing is an actual problem, or it could be what they think is wrong is just how it has always been. In those cases, video evidence is not just about credibility, but about precision of the problem report.

The most common recommendation I give to clients when they report problems to me is: you got a phone, take a picture. There is nothing less useful than to tell me "I got a funny message pop up on my screen, something about something." The picture doesn't just tell me that it happened, it tells me unambiguously what specifically happened. And the specifics are everything.

We all agree the AI gets weird and annoying sometimes. But "AI is weird and annoying" is not an actionable problem report. And we probably don't all agree on in what specific ways it is weird and annoying.

Technically that particular one is not an AI issue
But some others definitely are. That dumb behaviour is integrated in heimdall's AI profile. He was a bish since the start. In variants and act 6. The old hard content and to top it off they always gave him extra power gain, they knew what they were doing. He still possess that repulsive AI behaviour. Holding special 1 and spamming heavy for no reason from 10 football field distance.

Toad sos fight was definitely not normal. DLL agreed that toad shouldnt be behaving like that.
Kabam's explanation on onslaught's sos AI was also not believable. That onslut was way too smart for us.

Well we could go to the source of the issue, which is the company doing minimal or no test on their product and having the player base do it. I don't expect everything to be tested; but once again the example of the Heimdall fight. They designed the fight, surely they should have tested it and see that the AI acted in a weird manner and ended up blocking on mid stage for as long as it wanted. Champions wiffing specials hits? Sure they should have tested it during the design period? It never showed up during the design, test or recordings for a showcase? Are they playing them on a complete different version or stage of the game?
How are they so unaware of this issues during design and creation and the issues show up during player gameplay.
By the way Titania is whiffing the 2nd hit of one of her specials.
And yes you are right, pictures and video are great for reporting. Now trying to enjoy a game and having to record in case something happens doesn't fit in the description to play a game for enjoyment.

Heimdal autoblocking a heavy punish and staying in block mode for minutes was not normal behaviour at all, turtling to be pushed to sp2 yes it was normal; but being stuck in block for minutes is not.

How they make the game is on them. How we post about the game is on us. If only the game was perfect, no one would have to provide feedback and then no one would need to provide good feedback. But we don't live in that world, and how we choose to provide feedback, or even discuss the game amongst ourselves, is our choice and our choice alone, along with all of the ramifications thereof.

Maybe you can call this an AI issue, but imo its more of a glitch or a bug. Another long standing bug. AI is not supposed to get stuck like that. You have my full support. This is on kabam.

As I said in a privious comment, they don't care about this one. This was brought up years ago and it seems the bug have made a comeback.

I've also watched DLL screaming at the game for an AI glitch. And him saying what it is and how they're working on it, or how they want to fix it but they can't at the moment.
But what is the OP and others like him doing?
Just making the same "game is broken i'm quitting" threads every other day.
And my reaction is, if they truly believed that, they would've quit the game and the forums already.
But they haven't quit, which proves that deep down they know it's just copium they're parading around.

It's righteous "vent fest". People like OP, myself and others, including content creators and those in high ranking alliances, who are just "piling on" has actually shown video of the issues we're talking about before. It's all FACTS.

When you show a video, we dismiss it because of your approach and intent. Your mind is made up that we must be making these issues up because they aren't happening to this particular player.

You don't actually want to have an evidence-based discussion about the topic, or our experiences. You just want to complain and use rebuttal to make yourself feel better about your failures everywhere.

So really, when it's disgruntled bad faith lazy, emotional rebuttal (like yours), all I can say is....

If only the game didn't have the specific problem a particular person decides to post about, then they wouldn't have to post about it, but that's a nonsensical counterfactual when judging whether they are providing useful or noteworthy feedback. So while we can "go to the source" for the ultimate source of the problem, saying if only the problem didn't exist people wouldn't have to worry about how they reported it abrogates the responsibility of people saying anything at all. If only what I wanted to say was unnecessary, no one would be able to judge if I was saying it well.

It was simpler to say if the game was perfect no one would have to complain, but I didn't want to express the thought using predicate calculus. I'm assuming this intermediate step is sufficient, because I'm not going to make any others before going to the finish line.

The opening parry is so unreliable that I’m trying to train myself to stop doing it. It’s so frustrating that an action that should work feels like Russian roulette most of the time. Same with intercepting.

There is way too many problems, miscalculations, overlooks, things that slipped going on at the same time right now. Negative feedback is an effect caused by them.
Don't get me wrong, I do agree there are people who will use something as broad as AI issues to justify their own shortcomings; but that's is also a monster they created themselves by piling up issues all over the place.

Terminatrix, the AI issues you bring up are so specific and so widely accepted (like the Heimdall freeze), that in your scenario you don't even have to bring video evidence. No one discredits that, me included.

Ok, well maybe you have a point to a certain extent. Kabam admitted the ai is broken months ago and is working on a new fix but I wouldn't hold your breath

The OP's post is full of understandable frustration and impatience with Kabam. We all share a common experience with the game---a game that we still want to love, enjoy, and be passionate about, and can relate to what they're going through. Some areas of the game are extremely competitive by design. Rankings and rewards can be impacted by unavoidable losses due to the neverending issues.

All of this is exacerbated by the extra unecessary resources spent in some content just to get through it, and slow or complete lack of response and acknowledgement from Kabam. Some have recently responded (thankfully), but will they update us on their plan of action, or stay quiet for months like they've done prior to this?

The quality of this game and overall player satisfaction is not where it should be. It's exhausting. If we stop bringing these problems up, we have 0 chance of anything improving, and therefore might as well stop playing and contributing to it's growth and profits.

That's one specific example that can be an AI issue.
The first parry is not what it used to be, I observed it was a bit different since last months update.

The defender blocks with you and when you try to do a Medium you get countered with a light. All that happens in a fraction of a second.
This AI behaviour is new. And I adjusted to it by block- followed by a dash back without lifting the block.
Can we call this AI issue? I cannot.
This is AI evolving. Annoying? 100% yes.

In case of intercepting, its never supposed to be guaranteed. AI is random for a reason. I hate it when my intercepts doesnt work, but it's not an AI issue in my books.

I'm also throwing my personal opinion on this.
We know damn well opinions are jack in most cases.
