Why is Kushala guy giving tough competition to Scuffed Ironman guy in proving who the last challenge players must overcome before getting their hands on Kebem? 😶

On a side note, it hocks me off when people negate their entire Livestream just because they didn't talk about Rewards, and they're announcing a couple things you need to pay for. There's work that goes into these things. They deserve more respect than that.

They're getting paid for their work, they're getting money for their work, this Banquet was historic spending ever and that's great.
Stop acting like their hard work is for nothing.

I'm not the one acting like their hard work is for nothing. That was the point of what I said. Just because they get paid to do their job doesn't mean we can take a dookie on it.
If company can get appreciated and big money for their good work,
Then the said company will also get "dookie" for their bad work.
No question. I just disagree that it's bad work because their Livestream didn't talk about what people wanted to hear. They talked about other things. That's about it.

Yes, and people are allowed to be upset about the things they talked about. Watching the live stream even I was thinking “man it really doesn’t feel like the best move to announce all of these things that are going to cost money all at once, people aren’t going to like this”
I’ve definitely been a bit disappointed with the recent approach to live streams where it feels less genuine than it used too (excluding the special guests). At least issues were at least acknowledged. Now it just seems to fall on deaf ears

    Interesting article on Naavik,..
Entitled “can Netmarble right the ship”?
From feb 5th 2025,…could be some of the reason we are seeing such a focus in monetization.

Yeah, just read that article too and I think you're right.
Basically a lot of failures for Netmarble so squeezing as much profit as they can out of reliable mainstays like MCOC makes 100% sense.

So the idea that a consensus of backlash from the forum which represents an irrelevant % of the player base is going to affect its decisionmaking is pretty delusional. Kabam is owned by a company in an existential crisis, they couldn't care less that some forum bros aren't getting what they want...

Are you admitting that the increase in revenue was just blowing smoke then?
One part of this is true, they probably couldn't care less of what a bunch of forum users complain about, even if its their customers. On the other hand, imagine how much they care about the positive feedback while the ship is sinking.
No, MCOC had increase in revenue:
    https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/389580/now-to-the-banquet-results

We just didn't know how the parent company Netmarble was doing with the rest of its portfolio.

Here is the article Joker referenced by the way: https://naavik.co/digest/can-netmarble-right-the-ship/

So all that was based on a forum post? No offense to the OP of that post; but your claim of revenue increase on a company was based on a forum post? ...
    Lol
The post was showing the 2024 Q4 Earnings results for MCOC that they're required to disclose to their shareholders.
So not really sure what you're saying, but people can read for themselves if they want.

They announced a Eidol Champ that most will have to spend if they want it, which isn't new. Exclusive Champs aren't new to the game. Some will get him for free, not everyone.
A Double Track isn't new either. They've been going on for some time now.
The DD tie-in mentions Bundles, which you can make up for in Units, which is about the only possible unique thing in terms of spending.
That's not an onslaught of paid promotion.

You're making poor arguments GW. Even for you. If a company is making decisions that its customers dislike, that is indeed bad work. Kabam and its constant proponents are basically being:

it's not that kabam can do no wrong, but we've seen boy who cried wolf for 10 years now. no one's quitting, no one's leaving, no one's boycotting. we'll complain for a bit and if things don't get updated whales will whale anyway and when they do get updated the community will forgive and forget until the next time an updated isn't done fast enough.

threats and boycotts have never worked in this game cause we're too greedy for those dopamine hits.

    Yeah, problem is the source...
Imagine writting a paper for a psychology class and quoting an episode of criminal minds as source....
The forum guy copied and pasted the revenue figures from Netmarble's own website:
    https://company.netmarble.com/en/invest/library
Click on the Q4 earnings PDF.

But with regard to your analogy, I bet some psychology papers do quote Criminal Minds episodes as sources.
First, it's a great show. Second, the quality of education in this country has deteriorated significantly. Universities now treat television shows and social media posts as if they're academic treatises.

Why are we handing out degrees to people watching and discussing Sopranos? I do that at home all the time. Can I also get a Cultural Studies Master's sent to me in the mail??

I mean, you're not wrong about some. I know some folks are so addicted they would throw money at a static screen that said "Marvel Contest of Champions". I still mess around with the game, but I have spent a lot of money over the years and have all but stopped now (got the Sigil one more time to finally get SW lol). It's not very sensible to buy a broken product.

    Eidol - Sale
    Double track (Cyclope) Sale
DDHK- they did mention spending units Sale
Jean - usual early access bundle Sale
Bastion - usual early access bundle Sale
New EQ "Test" - not a sale
Gaunlet recycle - Not a sale
    Sigil renewed - Sale

    Anything I am forgetting about?
Funny enough the only time I ever seen you complain was on the difficulty Deathless Chase, a thing not a lot of people really complained about in matter of difficulty..

The Sigil, pre-sales, and Double Tracks are not news. Same things that are always offered.
