Kabam did something pretty amazing with the Deathless Peices if you think about it.

Every single day, maybe twice, someone posts something about making the Deathless pieces cheaper or free. Now as someone who has them all and almost half the team R4'd, I can definitely see the desire to get them if you've missed out, but the real story here is that its pretty amazing and a testament to the success of the event that people are so stuck on this and unwilling to wait for its promised return. I, personally (as an adult) think this is kind of amazing.

Its a mixture of FOMO and regret.

the deathless saga was good as it was ongoing and you could get them, the need is mostly on thanos than the rest.
but the event for being replayable is terrible but it is what it is
You didn't have to spend, and your skill level had to be okay; but not amazing.
Personally, it kept me interested and active; when there was a time early on, when I nearly quit out (I think this may have involved WoW Absman...) but determination got me through in the end; with a pretty strong sense of accomplishment when I finally got Thanos to Sig 200 with that final Carina's challenge.
The Deathless Chase: Bravo, Kabam!
The chase for the trophy champs kept me invested and logging in, and upgrading my champs and account towards the various milestones for pieces (the Battlegrounds ones being my least favorite, but most surprising when I actually achieved it).
The hunt for - and finally getting - Deathless Thanos was one of the most rewarding experiences playing the game for me by far.
Another vote for the overall experience being a W for the game. I understand people wanting an easy way to get the pieces, but it's like a new Legends title - I appreciate if they kept it gated behind that original effort and a hefty unit spend, at least until the next trophy champ chase is over (after Eidols?).
