Photon Can Stun You When Parrying Your Striker?

I was just doing a match in Battlegrounds (Count Nefaria vs. Photon) and I went ahead and activated my Striker for an Intercept.
Not only did the AI perfectly parry that 🙄 but I got stunned and then Photon annihilated me because of it.
As far as I’m aware that shouldn’t have been possible but perhaps I’m unfamiliar with Photon’s mechanics.
Any information would be helpful. Thanks

I've had defenders parry striker. I wonder if they are counted as "non contact basic hits". That would explain why they don't take damage from Korg or Attuma. Also why It counts for Things' rock stacks.

And photon can parry stun non contact basic hits.

Assuming of course, there wasn't any other interaction

Yeah I’ve had multiple times where my strikers get parried but none of them inflict the Parry Stun Debuff on me which was bizarre in that match. It most likely is some interaction with her ability to parry non contact

Yes its been happening for awhile now. Its annoying. I also have strikers that whiff and now all of a sudden the A.I. is dexing specials and relics as well.
