There's a reason why Kabam does not normally provide information on bans to, say, alliance leaders, or discuss them on the forums unless the person comes forward first and outs themselves.

False positive bans cost players rewards, but at least in Kabam's eyes it also was a major issue for which compensation was warranted completely separate from lost rewards.

There is a big difference between someone willing to voluntarily stay away from the game for a week and grab a big bucket of rewards, and someone who was unwillingly banned who did nothing wrong and had no idea how to rectify that situation, and had lots of people assume they did something wrong and were lying about it. That's why I believe compensation is scaled as it is. There's no "fair price" for that mistake, and there's no way to easily analogize it to some other voluntary situation.

This is correct. To elaborate, in order to be profitable, you need the lowest price and the best quality to maximize profit. Which means bulk purchasing tends to be the best. So you use resources like consolidation sales, auctions, and companies recouping costs mostly. There's usually a margin you consider for loss. I've seen some terrible deals where it was 75% loss. You learn, and grow.
Now we barely have loss because we research and use trusted sources. However, there's always the odd one or two in a batch of many devices. We don't know who owned it, we bought it in a lot of 20-100 devices.

I don’t think 8k people got the the compensation but since they’re being extremely secretive with information there’s no way to tell 1) how many accounts are and 2) how many accounts are truly false positives. Kabam could reveal #1 (but they won’t because they’re shady) but I know they can’t reveal #2 (because they’re incompetent)

4.5k units and 30k radiance for a five day ban? That seems very excessive to me lol.
The greatest compensation in the history of the game by millions of miles and far from the most significant issue the game has faced. And a better reward/stress ratio than Wheel of Fate.
What an absolutely awful week this has been.

One free r3 (two if you're buying t4 alpha only) + $150 worth of units for a five day ban is easily the greatest compensation we've ever seen so far I agree, terrible week for the game on every aspect possible.

By comparison, people (everyone that is) affected by AI "damaged" behaviour should get 10 times that. Since Kabam aknowledged that too.
