Realm Event: Questions

Just taking a cursory inventory of the ways to get points for the Realm event, is it necessary to do both BGs and Raids to hit the 285K needed for all milestones?

You only score on BG milestones in the VT and on the 48 hour objectives. There's nothing in there that gives points for playing the game mode in general. Incursions appears to be the only thing farmable while everything else is limited to when it refreshes.

Something seems wrong with it, some of the rewards must be repeatable. I certainly hope raids isn’t a requirement as I’d be out of the running already.

Points are already imbalanced as people who didn't claim their twitch drops right away get event points for claiming them now that the event has started.

The one time I watched the stream live and claimed my drops, I lose out on 7500 points. Awesome feeling.

While that would be nice, I wonder if that would be either possible or worth the effort of trying to sort out. It would likely just result in more complaints or issues or people receiving double the amount of points...

There is a possibility that not everyone is supposed to be able to achieve all the milestones.
You can get around 170 to 200k points but beyond that you may have to spend in the webstore to get the remaining points.

I think there are couple of errors.
1. The AW showcase event should give an additional 7500 for completing 2 paths plus 7500 for exploration so a grand total of 22500
2. There are 6 quests in valiant gauntlet so it should give 12x2500.
I am not sure if it will work this way but this is how I read the objectives.

But still, We need to push for the rewards right ? All these are tedious work and adter all these, we need another 45k Points....That will be a whole lot of work.

If you play this event flawlessly and do everything, you get to maybe 240k points, assuming we get 5 weekly events in August. There is an unlock to a “glitched” incursions with extra zones, so there could be 25k points there. But we’re still not up to 285k which is where the really worthwhile rewards are.

Let’s assume all the above so you can get 265k points. You want 20k more? No problem, spend $5000 on units in the webstore! Literally, that’s the calculation. 800 every $200.

It definitely would be nice to get some more info from kabam, in particular about incursion points, this event doesn't look exciting at all, especially if you're required to spend lots of money to get the last milestones.

To be fair, 800 points is less than what you get for beating a single saga incursions zone. It’s kind of a trash deal if your spending $200 on that

To be fair its nontheless a stupid design to get „fixed“ points where nobody is able to farm points for free. If u want to push for ranked rewards u have to pay. Just greedy as always

I think many people only start to realize how badly the realm event is implemented. Its actually not a realm event at all but a solo one which requires almost 100% grind of each and every top game content for the next 2 months (Hello "we implemented DSE so people could play the game the way they want to). You are not in the raid alliance? Forget about the top rewards (and all the real rewards are in the final milestones). Dont want to play BG daily? The same. Dont have roster large enough to complete VQ? Sorry, you are out. Etc. In the end 90% of the player base will not be even close to get the final milestones even if all the general realm requirements are fulfilled. And all will be angry, disappointed and frustrated.

Everything that is true if there is no possibility for getting the points multiple times for doing the same content (Incursions, VQ, VT). But even in that although much better case (however I think the chances of that happening are pretty slim) it still a bad planning. First it will devalue the other means of getting points (why spend an hour to win 3 times in BG than you can have the same points in 2 minutes of clearing an Incursion sector?). And second it will force people to spent a huge amount of time to mindlessly repeat the same stuff over and over again.

Overall the first impression is terrible unless Kabam will change something.

Think I recall seeing there are Realm Event points for BG, reach Silver, reach Gold, reach Platinum, reach Diamond, etc ?

If so, do you automatically get those points if you start the seasons beyond those lower levels ?
(Like as part of an updated “starting rewards” after doing 5 matches) ?
