I hope that Apple forces them too release drop rates for 3* vs 4* vs 5* champs and the specific drop rates for 3*, 4*, 5* featured champs in those crystals. Other than the rates on featured champs I do not think we get drop rates for specific champs. I also think many, if not all, crystals will be re-vamped in 17.0. Mate, my question was not what may change, it was how will this benefit the players at all. Your answer shows the answer is again no benefit to the players as I said. As there are now no featured crystals, the odds will be 1 in however many are in the crystal, that's it. So that will be per character as you want, but has no use whatsoever as far as I can see apart from maybe some people liking it to be there? PHCs and Dailys (class specific phcs) will show different odds, thats it, no benefit at all. Please understand, im not trying to antagonise anyone here at all, im just trying to show that what some people think this change will do won't actually happen. They will see no benefit at all from this change if it is put in place

Like I said, cant see any reason why they wont add these, but it wont make the game easier or better in any way at all. But, if it makes you and others feel better then that is good imho. But I think others believe it will change more than this and they will be disappointed when that is not the case

Displaying the poor odds of a PHC, GMC, FMC, and other live by the hope crystals, will greatly reduce your interest in buying these crystals thus severely hurting unit sales. No they wont mate. Lets see who is right on that, but I would bet it is me Plus what odds do you think will be on those crystals please? Do me an example of what you think will be shown, so I can see if im being dense here re this! My example for a PHC would be 3% you get a 4* 7% you get a 3* 90% you get a 2*

Hubris_hater wrote: » No-one at all has answered the main point I asked last year (when Apples deadline was, remember?) What use at all will this be for the players even IF Kabam issues drop rates? At the moment only PHCs and the daily specials would need these as already agreed. (plus we know the odds are v bad for them) BUT, lets assume they do it for every crystal from now on. A 5 star crystal has a DR of 100%. If they even break that down per character (which they won't have to do, but lets say they will) then the new five-star crystal will have DRs for each character of 1 in 24 for example. Same with 4 star and 3 star ones. So please can anyone tell me why so many people are acting like this (none) change is the Holy Grail? I just dont see any benefit at all? If in future there is a 4CC for another example, the DR will be in in 6, and so on The only change I can see if a section of the players now not having anything to blame when they get a bad pull, and I would miss those threads tbh I personally think it cant do any harm if they have DRs, but it sure as hell doesnt seem to actually help me or anyone else at all? And all studies (yes people study this) on games that have introduced DRs into their games show that spending on the game goes through the roof, however bad the odds are. So Kabam will benefit, but who else?

That makes three games that have taken at least some steps to publishing odds. The Simpson game, the Futurama game, and now Future Fight, for anyone keeping score. Future Fight is significant because, of course, it is a Netmarble game. Also significant is that the odds being published are for items that seem to be comparable to (some) MCOC crystals - specifically, lootboxes purchaseable with in-game currency or cash.

Yes, I just found this on Reddit. Seems a bold move

Yes that fact that it is involves purchases with in game currency should finally silence those who say that drop rates won't be revealed because they are purchased with units and not cash.....nonsense.

If we have these drop rates, it would be easier to find out the chance that the crystal or loot box will have to award a specific champ

It's not Gambling either way. The similarity does not make it Gambling by proxy.

It does not address the situation that many players may make poor choices for their financial situation. This isn't the end of the conversation about loot boxes, this is the beginning. The vast overwhelming majority of people agree that full disclosure is a reasonable step to take. If the industry couldn't figure out a way to implement this on their own, that would be a strong argument for government regulation to be necessary. It might still be necessary, but at least the industry is starting to show that they aren't completely hopeless.

People are forgetting that children(whether there supposed to be or not) are playing these games and these predatory loot boxes will shape them as kids and normalise gambling for them. This whole game is a just a dressed up marvel casino same as all the other lootbox driven games. Sooner this stuff is legislated for and dies the better and I'm glad to see governments starting to take aim at them.

Not a stranger lurking around a corner. Parents are responsible for monitoring what their children do.
