You can't use him against any modern defender whether it's BGs, AW, AQ, Incursions, Story or Necropolis lmfao as a matter of fact, you could slap all those defenders in the same ROL format with no nodes and Sabretooth still turns into Groot, completely useless.

Saying a champ slaps when you're basically using him against a 1* Hulk with big hp, does not slap.

If you're fighting a 1* Hulk with a big hp you can call anyone, if you're fighting a Serpent or any of the other 20 current relevant defenders with a big hp you also won't call Sabretooth cause that's suicide. He can't even counter Yelena and Bullseye even though his awakened ability's sole purpose is countering those two, that's how ass he is.

The copium on some of these comments lmfao no he won't, any tech with high damage like FAM or Starky will outdamage that regen. Not to mention there are multiple techs with heal block and no crits, there is no scenario in game in which Sabretooth is more than a fun filler champ.

Literally, by far the worst buff, all they had to do was give him true accuracy when filling a bar of power or daunted during specials or something to actually deal with the skill class currently and he would've been decent. What use can he possibly have other than ROL 😂

Same here if I see a Serpent, Yelena, Photon, Bullseye, Kindred, Enchantress, Thanos, Arcade, Red Skull, Rintrah, Sasquatch, Attuma, Korg, Mole-Man, Future Ant Man, Zola, Solvarch, Sentinel, Capt. The fact that this is a game. And I rank up champs I like because of said game and people like clobberin gets triggered so bad over it makes it funny xD. Not everything is about playing battlegrounds. I will Sig 200 sabertooth and hopefully he will be my top champ.

And my skill lets me be able to do a lot of things in this game with my , as people call it "weird rankups". I never play meta in any game and I always keep up with people that does.

Also clobberin is so focused on bg. I don't see his celestial placement once? But oh well what do I know, he ranks all the meta champs and defenders as he so calls it but eh doesn't have anything to really show for it.

I play my 3 objectives of bg every month and don't bother with bg after that. I don't care to place high cause I don't care about 1 game mode in this game.

The community is really wild... Still can't get over the fact how people can get so mad/triggered over 1 rankup that SOMEONE ELSE did on THEIR account.

I am F2P. This is my 6th R4 and I did one of each class.

The R4s are

Spider Punk (very fun)

Deathless gully (Loved og gully before buff)

Deathless thanos (the only thanos 7* I could get)

Okoye (Shes really fun and a nice little bullseye counter)

Sparky (Always wanted to get him when he came out in I think 2017? Finally got him as 7*)

Sabertooth (Always liked the design and love sabertooth from the comics)

Next one will probably be one of 3 options

This champ buff looks like Kabam was not ready but still released him due to rebirth crystal timeline.
He has absolutely nothing for the modern version of this game. Just damage. Bring him in AW, even questing…so many places he will be impractical.
He needs another small buff or some piece of utility.
This is a disappointment cos I like this character and so much of potential for him..but such a waste.

Ok @ItsClobberinTime any fights you have in mind for story/special quests/ variants that you want me to go test and see if he can do it? If you dont want synergies. Thats also fine.

So his signature on max sig states he regens 70% of the damage he took.

So say you took 100k crit damage from opponent. Your sig will regen 70k of that back. But if you pop sp2 as he got knocked you will regen 10% of missing hp. So you're missing 100k hp. So you'll regen 10k from sp2 + 70k from sig = 80% regen. Only if popping sp2 instantly.

Say you regen back 10k you'll be on 90k missing hp + 10% from sp2 is 9k + the 70k from sig = 79% regen and so on? Since you're already healing for 70k from sig. You have 60k regen left + 9k from sp2. While you'll heal the rest of the 69% you will in total have healed 79%?

His regen is insane. It will never heal back up to full so it's not the "BGs regen" that most people want, but it will keep you in the game for a very long time. And like Ghost said, couple that with his Sp2 regen and you're golden. That regen in and of itself is extremely potent. It's basically the same that Adam Warlock has on his Sp2, just slower. But as someone with a sig 200 Adam Warlock, I can tell you that 10% of missing health per Sp2 can allow you to - for example - run Necropolis with Recoils despite the Willpower mastery being slashed in half in there. I haven't tested it since I haven't pulled him myself, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sabretooth could do the same.

I look forward to whatever vids you can make in the future, Ghost. Having ranked up a couple of "unconventional" champs in the past, I know full well how much use you can get out of them even if they're not "meta relevant". I have no regrets about taking Venompool straight to r3 at last year's Reunion event, nor do I regret ranking up Howard the Duck as my first r4 champ earlier this year. Both are awesome.

Seeing the sabretooth rework, now i am sure they gonna do Wolverine dirty too. They have a track record of making everybody’s fav champs mid. Look at Sandman while dust whom I didn’t even know is a solid dual threat in game. Maker and High evolutionary are mid while nico and karolina are top champs released this year. Lizard prolly gonna suck too then get a mediocre buff after an year

Keeping in mind all of that regen is over the course of a month and you have to stay aggressive to keep it. One BS timer where you have to hang back and wait + turtle AI and they fall off. The number of regens on offense will be limited unless you keep getting hit or are using him in a bad "crits through block" matchup and decide to eat them for some reason.

It would be nice if a designer's pet "unknown" champ that they make inexplicably meta was one that the community at large cared about. Keeping fingers crossed that (1) Blue Marvel's designer is a big fan so he doesn't suck and (2) we don't have to wait until Black History Month to get him in the game. His popularity is niche at best, so the chances he'll be a stud are pretty good.

How exactly do you plan on running a Necropolis path with a champ who has zero utility? Have you even done Necropolis yourself? There isn't a single piece of modern endgame content he can currently do well regardless of how much regeneration you get. Ordeal, Epoch, WoF etc all a big no, anything that has non vanilla nodes make him completely and utterly useless and people need to stop trying to sugarcoat and cope with the fact that he is terrible and the buff took him from trash to premium trash 💀

To add to all this, his regen isn't insane lol it takes 25 seconds to actually heal you back and all it takes is a couple of seconds of bad AI cooperation and all that regen starts to go down the drain.

His Coldsnap and Frostbite immunity are better than nothing, but like pretty much everything he brings to the table other than damage, it's either not that valuable or it's kinda trash compared to a better champs version. Actually even his damage fits in that category. Never mind.

If you needed Fury buffs, but couldn't throw many specials and you needed to take crits into your block and maybe get hit a bunch but where there's not DOT that would melt you because your regen is too slow to be useful? Would Sabretooth get called up then? Maybe. Until Old Man Logan becomes a 7 star.

Honestly the buff should've went to Old Man Logan. The main skeleton of his kit isn't as flawed as Sabretooth's is and would have definetely benefitted more from being buffed to the same degree the other Rebirth champs had been.
