Viv or Cull from selector

hi, sry for wasting your time but would like to ask, should I choose between Viv or Cull from the selector? Can r4 both, and sig200. from crucible I got Night Thrasher and Antivenom. I'm looking for a dual threat in bgs. From what I understand, Cull is an absolute nuke and needs sig200, useless on defence pretty much. And Viv is a lot better due to the unblockable sp1 and power drain. In my deck rn, I have Serpent Herc Hulkling CGR Vox as cosmics, and Sentinel Prowler Shocker Shuri Fantman as my techs if it helps. Cull absolutely doesn't need sig 200. Just initial dupe is mostly fine. Mine is sig 75 and I'm already doing 50 k LIGHT Attacks if it crits (r3).

Even without the rout and fury, once he stack Armor breaks (9+) the damage from basic attack itself is insane.

I didn't liked cull before, nor do I want to play him now. All-in on Viv sig 200 r4. And will take AV dupe from final selector.

Viv better utility, she can take more matchups than cull. Main thing cull has more than Viv is evade counter. Damage sure, but if the defenders are all anti-cull, then who cares, Viv takes more defenders than him, so harder to draft around her. Plus you have great selection of cosmics already, beef up the tech class

What is this new viv hype? She is barely used when she was a 6*, and is unchanged.

cull is literally nuking your onslaughts, zolas, redskulls, arcades,and other defenders in bgs in 45 seconds, and in questing he can casually hit 50k light attacks (with 60k red damage sometimes) and how is viv any better than him?

Vivs biggest problem was she came out just before 7*s were released and she couldn't really punch up as a 6* as she has a one and done damage loop, she was the first champ designed with bgs in mind with that.

As a 7* that isn't an issue anymore and she has a ton of utility being bleed, poison and nullify immune as well has having an easy to keep up heal block.

Plus for bgs shes a good zola and yelena counter.

I’m in the same boat- still debating if I should dupe my Anti-Venom from the 2nd selector or go for the new Viv Vision. Of course, I’d give her an AG and push her to around sig 150+, but her HP is what worries me. I saw her stats and even a video where Photon hit her on a parry block, and she dropped straight to 85%. I know you’re not supposed to block against Photon, but her low health pool is definitely holding me back from fully committing. Still, I think I’ll end up taking Viv anyway, since who knows when she’ll hit the basic pool- and at least I’ll have a new champ in the deck.

yeah her block prof really sucks (its at like 25% or something iirc) but i think she'll struggle a lot against miss counters

I have a r6 Viv.

I have a r1 lvl 1 6* cull.

I'll have r4 sig 200 Viv.

My cull will stay r1 lvl 25.

Im a biased hater.

for all players who are torn and find this, it really comes down to flavor and chance. Cull and Viv will shine depending on what you’re against in BG’s and the rng counter during the picking process.

After counterless hours of carefully conducted research, I have finally came to a conclusion. Cull Obsidian is, indeed, the most overhyped 7 star to ever grace this game.

Why people base opinions purely off of RoL and content creator map showcases I may never understand. Being a hard Zola, Red Skull counter is nice and all but no need for excessive cope to convince yourselves that he's a versatile champion. Like you're not gonna use him against 90% of the meta defenders and get yourself a serviceable score. And if he ever happens to be your best option for someone like Onslaught, it may very well be time to adjust the deck and do some rank ups.

Additionally, Karolina is coming to the titan very soon and I honestly can't think of a single matchup where I'd use Cull over her. Also not always does

Its just not that simple but you'll see what I mean with the bgs experience anyway. And yeah, his block proficiency is really that bad but feel free to try him out against Photon and tell us how it goes...
