Would you feel better if I told you they've taken our feedback? Well, not "our" feedback, but someone's feedback somewhere.
I am so shocked! As shocked as Thing can be shocked in this game!
They made a straight up Yelena counter already, no chill, not even hide it .. it straight up consumes combo meter... Hahahahhahahahahahhah
As we all know,
Create a problem - Sell the problem.
Create a solution - Sell the solution.
Sell revives and potions for both the problem and solution.
I like them making counters quickly instead of letting op defenders sit around for a year unchallenged.
Also, another sale. Its becoming a monthly thing. But hey, if they wanna sell champs already in the basic.…be my guest. All day.
Yes you guys are right but at least make it less obvious rofl...
Again, it IS a business. lol
And it seemed to be more successful with two big sales a year. Better staffed, better running, better connection with the community. Sell more seems to = do less.
I would at least just like them to not have a big "fun" announcement about one every livestream
As much as I like this game, but I think it is going to die by end of next year if they keep it on this "big sales" path every month.
I used to spend, on average, $80-100 per month, and around $200 on the big sales events (e.g., July 4th, Banquet, Poolies etc.), but not anymore since late last summer because of their greed of "Big sales events" that occur now every 4-5 weeks. With $200 you get nothing these days.
SAD!
Want a new 4/5 or 5/5 defender?
Spend 36.000 units and wait for the Pitty system to award it to you. Want the counter to that defender, that is released the next month? Spend another 36.000 units (i.e., $800). That is the price for a unawakened 7*, without awakening and rank-up materials. If not, wait 3-6 months for them to be added to the Titan crystal which can give you the same champion 5 times in a row, but not the ones you are chasing.
Why not use some of that money to fix the lag, A.I., connection issues etc.?
Battlegrounds has died already because of the huge gap between whales and free to play.
Now, we will earn prizes via side quests based on top 30 prestige. I've spent 7,400 units on the new relics but got only 2x6* and no 7 star. Spend more = better prizes. Better prizes = better rewards→bigger gap between players.
If one has to pay at least $500 every single month, then Kabam will have to own up to it and accept the fact that they will soon have only a small base of spenders which will get bored of playing against each other in A.W. and Battlegrounds before getting bored and quit.
It is a business and it is intended to earn money, but they're exaggerating.
Indeed, Kabam also created some nice content (e.g., Necropolis, Autumn of Agony, Summer of Suffering, Crucible), but almost every single event and champion is monetized now.
That may be the perception, but if sales are going down, they're going to try new things to keep the game lucrative, so that's a possibility. Also in general, things rarely continue to be successful over the course of 11 years if they always stay the same. You have to change.
We just had an Event that was free. Not all of them will be.
Nothing exciting on this stream.
The only thing that I got from it and its making my eye twitch a bit is that they are taking so much time and effort on the live event, that will be enjoyed by what? 1000 people? 3000?... While every player in the world is just suffering all this buggy glitchy thing that once was a game?... Priorities I guess
Last min Edit:
In their defense I guess it would look worse if this was as glitchy and buggy as it is while not having other priorities. 👍 Good job.
I love how they kept modding the word spend. I saw comments getting deleted instantly. Lmao
potato servers, but premium offers
So another sale in September? Trying to squeeze last drop of blood from their precious SUMMONER? 😂
You guys were awesome though, shoutout to everyone who came out to voice their concerns and the problems mentioned on the forums. Was fun to read some prominent names standing up for themselves and for us all pretty much, I respect it a lot.
The streams have been nothing but awkward and slimy QVC commercials ever since Jax left. Not surprised that’s the route this one went as well.
As I have stated many times, we are not going to stop having sales. Wal-Mart is also not going to stop selling things. The slide also literally says "FREE 7 Star Thing" and Promo Code.
I've been trying to get a 7* Thing for a while, so if they're giving him to us for free, that's a W in my book.
I didn't see anything in Samurai's kit that would tempt me to spend money to get him, so it's whatever…
Regardless of how me or anyone else feels personally, I do know that there are players with money in this game who actually enjoy monthly sales, who actually find sale events the most exciting part of the game.
I can't really blame Kabam for catering to the players who pay their bills. All I ask for is that the sales don't widen the gap too much, not between F2Ps and spenders (that gap is long gone), but between people who spend only during the big events and people who buy everything Kabam puts out.
will we be able to get yondu and rhino as a 7 star soon
Sprinkle in a few bits & bobs of relevant info, but yes the streams have had a very QVC feel.
Walmart also has excellent customer service...
And the things I bought were not bugged 99% of the time ..
So it's fine to leave every F2P in the dust, but just don't make it harder for you.
What in the straw man is that? Nobody expects you to stop having sales, I haven't seen anyone argue that Kabam shouldn't make any sale event at all.
Not every profit-oriented company work the same way, what's with the Wal-Mart comparison? If Wal-Mart is your precedent, why do you give out free stuff in the first place? Paywall just about everything then, Wal-Mart is also not going to stop putting a price on their goods.
You're missing the point still, problem is not that we're lacking free stuff. But I can surely give Thing a try against Dark Phoenix since he can nullify unstoppable after using a special. Wdym she retriggers nullified buffs as passives? Well, that's unfortunate. Guess I can at least hope that my Enchantress can hold it down against Human Torch, it may not be over yet 🤓
Grateful for this precious comment, maybe it wasn't too bad when we weren't getting any communication at all...
No, my point was that F2Ps have already been left in the dust, at least as far as competing in the top tiers of PvP content is concerned.
Onslaught, DPX, Gentil, and Jean all existed before Yelena. A R3S unawakened DPX can KO a R4 sig 200 Yelena in 50 seconds or less in fact. It could be argued that Cassandra Nova and Silver Samurai are even better counters because they take her combo away but it's not like there weren't options
My Thing is maxed out, so it means nothing to me. It's basically 600 titan shards, which is garbage. Also, yeah, like others have said. Holy strawman.
Edit to be more constructive: It is an objectively good thing that you give out stuff for free to players during sales and are willing to throw people a bone but at the same time it doesnt feel like these decisions are thought through beyond the surface level. I'll bring up 2 good examples.
We can start with this. 7* Thing is the amazing freebie here but for people who maxed him out, they get nothing and are punished for investing in a champ they love. It feels bad, this obviously wasnt thought about.
The last Rebirth token was put in an alliance event. Which would have just been okay if the community got ample notice but we didnt, so many many players will not get that "free" token and are now punished for not being clairvoyant and ditching their alliances fast enough. Again, obviously wasn't thought about
1200, you also get a max sig crystal man... (I am strawmanning)
I still don't understand how everytime they sell something, it's seen as an attack on F2P. I really don't mean to be rude, but it's not about them.
There is no stretch of the imagination where the game will place F2P head-to-head with spenders. They're selling advantages, in the form of accelerating growth. People can grow for free, but it will take longer.
The game is available for people to play for free, and also to spend. They're never going to stop selling to make free Players happy. It's also optional, and you don't need to spend to play and have success. You just can't have everything that spenders have.
