Neither. Spend a bit more for a PS5 Pro, the superior product
I would say it’s less overshadowing and more accepting of the premise there is about a 0% chance of them returning to this… so if infinite sales are the new norm, then it should result in “x” arguments are more prevalent. It might be just as pointless as arguing for a return to the old setup but it is what it is.
Note the Free 7* Thing comes in the Solo Event. This means it could be a milestone, it could be a rank reward. We don't know. We also don't know what will be need to obtain it. With the right roster it may be "no big thing", but then again it could be something Fantastically challenging . Yes I know these are not Dorky Dave level puns, but enjoyed including them. I'm willing to wait and see. I appreciate all the comments in this thread because we should not be shy from making critiques. It is good for the game, it is good for the community and good for the developers as well.
Nah I think I’ll take Red Guardian and 1/4 R4 materials thanks.
The monetary ask of this game keeps getting more aggressive while the basic functionality of the game is getting worse. Each month feels worse than the one before it, but we are getting pummeled with paid events on a regular basis. How you can anyone act surprised that people are acting negatively to this is simply astounding to me. We are being asked to pay more for a broken and worse product. It feels exploitative.
This game will sunset before the AI ever gets fixed. I’m confident of that. It feels like they are going to squeeze every last dollar out of their dedicated players because they realize that they can do that. And if people get grumpy, toss them a Titan nexus and they will quiet up for a while and open their wallets again.
Your last sentence is the reality of this game. Watching people lose their minds over the word "compensation" , I sometimes wonder if I enjoy this game a lot more than most complaining here even though I'm set to quit in a week or two. That's also why you don't see anyone criticising the sudden overabundance of tier 7 basic fragments, most people don't care about game balance or health anyway. They'd criticise the thief just because they didn't do it first, nothing to do with moral values whatsoever.
Bunch of hypocrites on both sides, kills the slightest hope I have remaining. Literal slaves some people are, would rather set an alarm for the next double crystal than question why nothing ever goes better with this game despite them flooding the forums with complaints all day long. Clearly I'm not speaking for everyone here but some of you still don't get it. Not gonna call anyone out, just a bit of self-reflection would make it fairly obvious for them to realise.
I've said it a billion times at this point, Kabam won't take necessary action unless community is clear about what they want and act accordingly. Not much to expect if you're so easily accepting of what they're trying to normalize like $600 sales and years of 0 improvement on AI issues.
If you accept mediocrity, things will never improve and they honestly don't have to.
M-money C-cash O-offers C-currency
If the objective is to get everything they're offering, then it's going to be daunting no matter what unless someone has unlimited resources. That's entirely an elective endeavor. I'd go nuts too if I approached it like that. I buy what I want, and leave the rest.
It’s actually crazy to think that for the cost of a new champ, you could actually rather purchase a PS5 🤯
That’s tempting. “So full. So filled.”
What's actually crazy is that for the cost of a silly PS5, you can buy a young man in Uganda a motorcycle taxi which he can then use to earn a living and pull himself out of poverty and starvation and also improve the wellbeing of his community.
All of that for the cost of a silly PS5 or a silly new MCOC champ.
Pretty crazy, right?
No one said it wasn't elective, but if you want to remain competitive you need to grind those units. If the deals still cost 40k units a year like before instead of 160k+ now, I'd still be playing in a competitive alliance.
And why not ,girl?
Do you know the number of people that work at Kabam?
How do you imagine they can pay everyone?
If they have a magical way to sell things in game, its because of their work behind.
If not, everyone here may not be playing Mcoc everyday and talking in the Forums.
We can see how this can be frustrating and sad to a Summoner if they're out from Mcoc, only remember the ones that are banned and run to the forums to pledge for mercy. And they are first time on forums, never been jailed ⛓️
Back to the Money cry, instead of open threads against Kabam, think about what we know for years. Every content here is produced by a Kabam team. And we need to be thankfull to them as we enjoy and have fun with the game everyday.
Thing 7 stars will be one of major sale success of Kabam. Who dont love him as defender on BG when the rival dont have skill champs 😈?
My 6 stars R4 rocks (no pun intended) and one day I will have the Yancy guy 7 stars.
So... Chill
Holy yap fest, just play the game… don’t spend if you’re not balling simple.
Why do you feel you should have everything for free that those who pay do? I'm not trying to come for you with that question. It's a genuine question. I'm aware that people love to pride themselves on being F2P in this game, but there's a bit of flawed logic there.
People are paying to get what you can't get for free. That's the whole point of selling something. Sure, the vast majority of things can be acquired over time, but there's nothing that suggests we can grind head-to-head with people who spend.
The problem I see with that is you might be able to catch up at certain times, but it's fleeting. Also, you're not missing anything game-changing so far. Dark Phoenix was probably the most OP Champ they've marketed in these sales. The rest have been good, but not a major deciding factor. Some Mats perhaps, but those are available in the game.
I get it, I understand your concern. I'm just of a different mindset. They have an obligation to keep the game accessible for free, albeit a soft obligation based on history. They don't have an obligation to restrict spending to appease F2P Players.
People are just bitter because they really really want the items being sold, but they can't buy them or don't want to spend the money.
So we get these threads every week, usually by the same people, trying to turn their frustration into something deeper, and pointing the finger at everyone else instead of looking within and figuring out why they're so bitter and angry over a video game.
Hahaha but like this is just so ridiculous.
"People are paying to get what you can't get for free"
Sure but this wasn't of this magnitude until recently. Not every sale had exclusive meta defining champions you won't be able to get for at least 1-2 years afterwards. People used to accelerate the progression by spending before, now they're just creating gaps that can't be filled in any way. They don't sell champions like Civil Warrior anymore, all those sales revolve around the best of the best.
"You're not missing anything game-changing so far. Dark Phoenix was probably the most OP champ they've marketed in these sales"
Of course! The rest were just good, not major deciding factors! Red Guardian, Human Torch, Tigra, Nick Fury, Fantman are all just good champions. Not like other than Fantman they are all auto-include in every deck. Not like Human Torch is getting 51k off of maxed out Serpents this meta. Not like CGR, Hulkling, Doom, Kate, Scorpion will be paywalled as well. Surely they will put them in titan or something attainable for anyone. Even if they don't, they are not game-changing champions anyway right?
You can't justify all this nonsense by claiming you just have a "different mindset". You already know my thoughts so I won't repeat them, shameless behaviour as always 👍
these posts are as irritating and self serving and FTP posts just wanting stuff for free.
you might as well have posted “I haven’t bothered to read the thread, but you all are losers”
Just take a look at the accounts commenting, 2 of those guys ridiculing the ones criticising Kabam are 1 star private accounts you've probably never seen before. Wish the Kabam team involved with bug fixes worked harder than their trolls. Why do I care anyway, I'll quit in a few days. Miserable slaves and the lengths they'd go to please their dying masters 🤣
You joined the forum two weeks ago.
I read everything. I'm just expressing my opinion and what I think of the situation.
If you care about beating other players in this game so you can feel good and get better rewards than them, then you've already become a slave like the whales, only with less money I suppose.
So getting angry at the game for treating competitiveness like the commodity that it is makes no sense to me.
I can enjoy everything I want in the game for free because I don't let the game brainwash me into thinking I need to be the very best at Battlegrounds or War.
Been playing for 10+ years, following the forums for 3+ years, commenting on the forums for 2 weeks and already have my second star which is honestly embarassing.
Nothing to do with your unused, private account I had never seen before commenting on a post for the first time to type such an insulting comment. No idea what you're trying to prove in here but w. e. Let's just not derail the thread any further ok?
I will express my opinions however I want, and really couldn't care less about your life story.
You obviously care enough to respond back every single time. People on the internet just don't realise that claiming they don't care about something doesn't mean they actually don't. Also idk what opinions you're talking about, your few comments here may very well be your first comments on the forums no? Doesn't care but looks up the profile to learn my account age, I don't buy that honestly 😅
w. e. won't waste time responding to further comments, especially not from such edgy weirdos. Everything necessary has been talked about already, trolls can have a field day all they want. Don't mind me!
Delusional 😂
These sales have increased in frequency, sure. They're not full of meta-defining Champs. You might need to wait a year or two to get them, but that's hardly throwing the balance of the game off. Torch, yes. He's good. He's just as good as a 6* so that's not a good example.
I don't need your thoughts on my behavior. I don't agree with your reaction. I think it's dramatic to say the least. Bottom line is, people who have no intentions of paying for these things complain they're selling them, with a handful of people who buy as much as they can but can't keep up for free. That's how it is when you try to keep up for free. You can't always pull it off. That's a fact of life. People with money get more. That isn't going to change.
Having 7 star stats is meta defining. Being able to win seconds faster or stall fights longer is a big advantage to have. Whale Grounds calls itself "competitive" but then gives spenders a massive advantage. Destiny Rising just came out and is also a gacha game but instead of making the pvp mode P2W, they made it so no matter how much money you spent, everyone is automatically scaled to the same power level. The frequency of these sales and Kabam's refusal to make a balanced BGs mode just tells me that the game must be struggling to make money.
As someone who dropped $500 for Red Guardian and Dark Phoenix because I have the money to actually be spending like that (since you're implying these complaints only come from people who can't afford spending on this game or don't want to), the prices and cutoffs lately have been stupidly high, you're just trying to stir the pot it seems.
They're not full meta defining? Do you even have a 7* Torch or Dark Phoenix to be making such an absurd ignorant statement? Cause I do, I have Dark Phoenix and she's easily my most banned champ in my deck.
This is the most single-celled organism post I've read from you😭
