All aspects of the game have been in regression for the last 12-18 months. It started here on the forums shortly after they made the discord.

I'd like to have positively influenced the community in some way as a player of 10+ years, I felt like sharing it. Not that the context or all my comments have been positive stuff but well…

Could be the fact that the Forums tend to be full of the same, toxic arguments with people demanding answers to questions they've either already answered or don't have new information on.

This isn't just a place for people to communicate with Kabam. It's first and foremost a place for us to discuss the game amongst ourselves.

Pretty much a microcosm of the game. They have calculated they don’t need or want feedback from here which is obvious from the perpetual moves that keep getting worse. Maybe they are right, they can count the numbers of who will spend no matter what. So why waste time here is their thinking….

But we simply didn't even get a livestream alert post for september on forums, how does one explain such a simple thing missing for example? That has nothing to do with moderating the forums even, its pure ignorance and neglect.

Sometimes it can be difficult to tell if they've answered questions when they answer them on discord and forget to answer them here. Not that that has ever happened...

The discord is even wilder. They just silence faster and easier for things that don't break server rules or discord rules. If a person is petty enough they can report kabam to Discord tho. Because it's mod abuse.

I haven't used their Discord, but if it's their channel it's their call. Unless they're breaking Discord rules themselves, how they govern it is up to them.

At least art team still has it in them but that can't carry the game any longer. We couldn't enjoy anything for over a week or two until something catastrophic happened and wiped our smiles. Its personally just impossible for me to endure all the ongoing issues, even for the cool boss fights and occassional endgame content. They get overshadowed real quickly at this point.

Just gave a simple example, not that it impacted me tremendously as I already knew the livestream date. My concern is with how unprofessional that is. Also they told that discord wouldn't render forums useless and they wouldn't "steal" attention from here. Don't think its easy to say that they kept their word.

Just to share information and "insight" from a guardian and a discord mod. Wanted to let people know since the complaint that forums were neglected has been ongoing for a while. Felt like this could answer some questions in mind. You might as well ignore it if it bothers you, I don't feel like fighting anyone anymore.

That depends on what the behavior is. If it's their channel, they can set the ground rules, i.e. Be respectful.

If people don't follow, they can be silenced.

Several folks have asked whether the changes to forums signal a desire to abandon or marginalize it as a communications channel.

@KabamPinwheel specifically responded that this wasn’t the case, but if the account above is accurate, his coworkers may think differently.

OP suggests the team prefers channels that allow them to tamp certain messaging. Since I’m not on Discord, I don’t know if this is the case. All I can speak to is that I think the experience here mirrors what I’m seeing in game lately, and OP’s post may help explain why.

Think he was arguing with some people when I joined in about how f2p can grind arena and get the most valuable resource (units) for free, claiming that this was pretty f2p friendly.

Ofc people weren't really buying it, claiming that grinding arena non-stop wasn't fun and tolerable at all.

So yeah, he probably shares the sentiment and decides to ignore forums and focus on discord. At least that's my impression.
