Is Zola comp enough

After seeing more than a few minutes of Vega's stream on YouTube I now understand why the comp isn't enough becoz I personally have Zola and didn't want him so was happy with a free Titan but the logic is simple, if it was nico, karolina or any other champ that you wanted (including Zola) you would want them and dupe or high sig. This raises the question is a single crystal or Zola enough and would the answer remain the same if it was nico, karolina, bastion, jean or any other champ?

Yes, it is enough. Because the only alternative would be to take back everyone's openings and give them the same number/type of crystals that they had opened.

There is a 0% chance that Kabam would give me 9 Titans and a Nexus on top of the ones I opened yesterday.

Anyone who opened any form of Titan in the time window will get a selector with either a Titan or 7* Zola.

No differences based on type or amount opened.

So I opened 5 crystals and got 2 zolas (who I will never rank up ever now with all new champs countering him so well). Would I take -40 sigs on him for 2 random crystals over 1 Nexus? Yes, because basically any champs except okoyo I would see as win, as it's either a new champ or first time dupe

I actually disagree on that. One person that opened 10 crystals with no Zola in it gets the same comp as someone who comes along after the problem is fixed and opens one titan (and potentially gets Zola).

It’s not a huge deal to me, but I don’t think it is fair.

I only opened 3, but I feel for those that opened a bunch of them to try to get Zola. Getting one selector doesn’t seem like enough, but there is no easy answer - other than Kabam learning to do things right the first time.

I opened 7 Titans and a Nexus. I already have Zola, so happy he wasn’t in there as my opening was amazing. Add another champ and it could have been tragic.

However, if it was say Spider Woman who was my most wanted and wouldn’t have minded pulling her all 8 times that was missing, I’d want my 8 chances again.

So no, I don’t think 1 Titan is enough. It’s kabams problem they screwed up the crystal. 1 Titan isn’t enough. Should be at least 1 Titan for every 2 opened, if not just 1:1.

Zola was already in the crystal. No one was holding crystals for Zola. Him missing in fact gave everyone better odds of pulling one of the newer ones they were all holding out for. So, yeah it's enough and the fact that they made it a selector is more than enough.

I opened a total of 10 crystals yesterday (before the fix) and I'm going to guess at least 20 (maybe more) in the last cycle.

I have yet to pull Okoye.

If they were to give everyone a new crystal for each one they opened, there is a good possibility they could open all those and still not get Zola.

The point being they are making sure that if you wanted Zola you are now going to be guaranteed to have him. There are very few things in this game that are a 100% chance. I do not see how anyone can consider this as anything other than a win.

The compensation is enough. The only thing I don’t necessarily agree with is to extend the courtesy to everyone opening a crystal after the issue has been resolved for about a week.

I think so honestly. I mean, him not being there would’ve thinned out the pool, giving you a higher chance of getting everyone else statistically. So unless you were just gunning for him - I kind of was honestly - then yes this comp is enough. I think if anything was to change it should be a titan nexus OR a selector for Zola + the dupe. Otherwise I think they nailed this comp

Except → I didn't want Zola. I opened 12 crystals looking for Nicki and Oyokoe and the fact Zola wasn't there increased my chances of getting them and the duping them.

Now I get a free Zola as well as the dupes I wanted. Yay for me!

So the people didn't want a Zola actually got better crystals before they were "fixed".

I like Vega, but I think he missed the mark with his rant about this. I think the choice between either a guaranteed Zola or a new Titan is perfectly fine. I think it would have been different if it had been one of the incoming champs that had been missing - the ones that people actually hoard their Titans for - but Zola? I dunno.

Because here's the thing, right. This is amazing compensation for someone like me who've only opened two Titans since the rollover. The chances of me getting Zola from one of those two pulls is relatively small, but I'm compensated with a guaranteed Zola if I want him. That's great. I think people like me are very happy.

Then we have the people who've really saved up their Titan crystals and do really big openings. Are they opening those Titans hunting for Zola? I have a hard time believing that. I am not at that level by any stretch, but even I have almost all of the "old" Titan champions already. My guess is that they are hunting Nico, Karolina or Hevo. So would they be upset that one of the older champions was accidentally removed from the pool, giving them a greater chance at one of the newer ones (plus an extra chance at them in compensation)? Doubtful.

It's not like Zola is a crazy prestige champion either. He lies just outside the Top 60. If you're hunting prestige, you're not hunting Zola.

The one group that I think could be legitimately peeved are those who opened a ton of crystals specifically to pump up Zola's sig ability, but, like…how many are those, really? That seems like such a niche group of people. I've never turned to Titans as a way to pump up the sig level of any champ. If I pull someone who I already have awakened but want more sigs in, I'm moderately happy with it but still lament not getting a new champion/awakening.

I just think that a guaranteed Zola is fine compensation for most people. There may be a very small group who might have opened enough crystals where the probabilities that they would have pulled more than one Zola exists, who still really, really, really wanted a ton of Zola sigs and thus feel cheated. If you're one of them, I do feel for you, but I also think that this is pretty much the best-case-scenario in term of Kabam rectifying this mistake. I'm not sure what else they could have done.

Of course it's enough. In fact anyone that was hunting zola now gets him guaranteed so it's actually better for them that he wasn't in it on reset. The only argument I would make is the titan option should be a nexus.

This I can get behind, Vega’s rant, not so much. I think if you opened 10 or so more titans, you should get a nexus, and any less than that can get a normal titan. Either way, this is probably the best solution to this problem they can do without giving out absolutely busted compensation

So a few months back when the 6* feature crystal went live it had the wrong pool and Kabam gave everyone who opened them an equivalent amount of crystals with the corrected pool as compensation. I think that’s the rout they should have gone which only covers the people who were actually affected by the mistake. They probably chose giving the entire community a selector for him or a titan because they didn’t want to give out 5, 10, or 20 additional titans which some people would have seen as those players getting an unfair advantage

I think it should be 2 copies or 2 crystals.. as there is no way to say what would have happened if Zola was in there - and as it was Kabam's error, the better solution is to err on the side of over comp vs under

Because yes, if someone opened many crystals and actually wanted 2 copies of Zola, that person has been under compensated.. someone who didn't want him is over compensated.. yes, but when it's your error that caused the problem to begin with, you need to make sure no one is under compensated.. even at the risk of overcompensating others

In short, some being under compensated is worse than many being over compensated.. as it's impossible to ever define the % of players in each category

Of course it s not enough. There s people who keep opening their titans to get Zola, something advertised that wasn't there. When you "return" a broken product, you get full compensation or a replacement. If ten products are broken, you get 10 replacements. And so on.

Not even mentioning the fact that, with one less champion on the RNG reel, the result of your opening is completely different from what it should be.

Thats irrelevant, but also impossible to quantity or prove.. but there will always be outliers either way.. rules are rules - it was stated he was in the crystal, this was false, a rule was broken

I think everyone who opened 2 or more should get 2 of the crystals they were sending out. Gives the option to dupe the champ. Wishful thinking but it would give the chance of the dupe which was not an option from the multi crystal opening for some.

A titan/zola is not enough for me personally. It should be at minimum a titan nexus/zola.

No, it really is not enough.

The reasoning is simple, if you wanted that specific champ, and wanted a chance at awakening him, you were cheated out of that chance. Also, by not having him the rotation, your other openings were more likely to land on something you did not want if you were chasing Zola and dupe.

I am on the fence. Here is why I don’t like the way they handled it. They screwed up, we are not getting a bonus or something extra, so don’t act like they are doing us a favor. The problem with extending it is now people have a chance to get a Zola once and then get him awakened. If they would have just done it for the people who were affected, this would not be an issue. So the people who opened after are getting the “bonus”. Now all I can do is get a Zola (who was one of the champs I was looking for) and not get to awaken him.

I said in another post that I dont need the 4 “bad” titans back and would be happy with a getting a Zola as comp. But that was before I knew that they were extending it for a week. I think they should at least give those affected before the change a choice of an awakened Zola or a Titan Nexus, they can allow those after (who were not affected in any way) the choice of Zola or a Titan. But you cannot treat those affected and not affected the same way.

For clarity, the bad 4 I opened were Torres (best option out of a nexus!), Spidey Supreme dupe, Galan (4th dupe), and Zemo. I did also get Jessica and Okoye for the first time and sigs on my r4 Bastion which I was very happy with.
