Crack would explain the current state of the game ..
I read ppl bought it though… smh
Gentlemen, you know you messed up if you’ve lost Demon…. 😱
Depends on whether you want said Champs or not.
you mean crashed?
No champion is worth $100.
Nope. Only true (Silver) Samurai knows the full pain a warrior (Summoner) should suffer ($400) to become worthy and stand up to the biggest threat (Yelena) in the world (Battlerealm).
its the same as the deal where they sold 7* vision. It’s mostly for collectors and there is always a wealthy collector so where that wants one of these specific champs🐳
if i making close to a million i’d probably get the hulk.
LOL 🤣
Like I said, that depends on how bad you want the Champs. These Offers are based on the contingency that the buyer wants what is offered. If someone wants the Champs offered bad enough, I'm sure they'll pay it.
So many Ls going on… even the knights are dunking on em
These are Launch Pool 7*'s. 7* shards are everywhere so super easy to get. I can't imagine anyone wanting to target any of these champs outside of Shuri or Chavez and even then, if you're opening enough 7* basics, you probably are getting these champs.
This is an offer than should have gone out after the Launch Pool happened. Even the 1-2 gem isn't worth probably $10 these days since r2 resources are also super easy to come across. The offer price makes zero sense.
Honestly, if they reduced it to 50, I would have been tempted to buy it. I have wanted a 7* Bishop and Chavez since 7* launch but not been lucky. That being said, Kabam has been so deluded in their choices as of late, I might even think twice at 50 because i am not sure the way the game is going, I will be winding down the amount I play and would like to spend the 50 on something more worth my time now.
Maybe. Again, I'm not saying I'd buy it. Just that it's one of those subjective things. Some people may be targeting certain Champs enough to spend it. More power to them I guess.
Did I stutter?
No champion is worth that much money. No matter how badly you may want or "need" it. Pure insanity to spend that much money on a digital character.
Especially for a dying game.
the other offer is also ridiculous, need almost $400 to collect 150 stamps. if it was $100 I would've considered it.
The game isn't dying.
ANY purchase in the game is subjective. Some people spend tens of thousands of dollars a year on the game, and anyone could make the argument that it isn't worth the money, for a thousand reasons. There's still SOMEONE who will spend. That's because it's not worth it to you, but it could be worth it to someone else.
Personally I think $18,000 for the new gold Versace sunglasses is ludicrous. I wouldn't even spend $500 on a pair that will sit half the time. There's still others who buy things like that willingly. I just don't buy it. However, I'm not telling companies it's not worth it because someone finds it worth it. Just not me.
Yes, but that offer isn't aimed at you. It's aimed at the players who buy every daily/weekly deal and there are a fair few of those about. I have 3 in my alliance alone that can (and will) take that offer up.
It's the same with the offer in the op. Yes, it's terrible value but so are most of the in game pop up deals. They are designed to attract a select few players with money in their pocket to burn. And it's obviously a winning strategy as they keep rolling them out.
Plus. It's probably good thing that they are terrible value in the grand scheme of thing as they are easily ignored for the vast majority of players. If they were great value you'd get more complaints of unfair advantages given to players from players who can't afford it as these types of deals are constant. This way the people gaining an advantage are the players who are already light years in front of everyone else anyway as they are the only type of player to snap up these types of deal and every deal inbetween.
I guess I'm being salty since I have bought a few (lol) of those daily and weekly deals and always used the stamps after collecting 7. lesson learned, didn't expect Kabam will be doing an offer like this so I will hoard them all in the future.
I’ve said it before, this is probably the most expensive game I’ve ever seen. It doesn’t really encourage spending unless you’ve got money to spare. Only the passes are usually worth it, and maybe some other offer from time to time. If they thought more about casual players, with more ‘cost-benefit’ type offers, a lot more of us would buy.
I can’t imagine anyone buying that offer, I’d be shocked to know that even a single person actually bought it.
Someone spent 280k last banquet to pick up the first lot of r4s and an ultimately meaningless title. I'd wager there are plenty of people that will buy this. They wouldn't keep pumping these things out if they weren't working.
I have to agree with @Demonzfyre and I'm so confused with Sales Team goal with a lot of the offers/sales 🤪
As many have already pointed out, everything feels massively overpriced and clearly aimed at "Whales" — or as GW put it, just "Someone." What I can't wrap my head around is why these offers aren’t designed to appeal to a broader audience. Take the current offer for example: 1–2 gems and two original pool champions that most players already own — somehow this has been priced at £100. Maybe 1 in 100 people might go for it. But if it were priced at £25, making it more accessible, you’d likely see interest from 10 out of 100 players instead. I’m no mathematician, but you can see the logic there.
I literally pulled Chavez and Shuri into the boxes, then the price tag popped up — I just laughed and closed the window. I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Then there’s the 9.3 completion offer, which is another example of absurd pricing. It offers less than what I got from actually finishing 9.3 — for free. Seeing it priced at 15,000 units was enough to just move on. If it had been around 5,000 units, I think Kabam would’ve had far more success draining our units, which I assume is the goal.
Honestly, if they shifted their strategy and started creating offers aimed at the wider player base instead of just the top spenders, I think their sales would explode. For example, imagine a new Titan release came with an offer for 1 Titan Nexus at £10 — I guarantee a huge portion of the player base would jump on that. I just think they should try different things rather than charging silly amounts all the time and compare the results. I could go on, especially with the big yearly sales where you could always grab the top prizes for around 15/18K units, why does it now cost 40K units? That just puts me off straight from the start! The rank rewards are there for the big spenders but the milestones should be more available to everyone other than the millionaires of MCOC.
