I actually like it like this. I prefer one lane rather having to run 5 lanes for completion.
Is 16 fights too long? It really depends on roster size.
Also, the rewards are way better than regular EQ
I don't mind it, personally. I find it much better than the previous abomination that had you fight the boss 3 times per lane (where some quests had like 3 lanes so you had to fight the same boss 9 times for exploration).
too many fights in a row for all summoners. Requires too many ranked up champs for lower level players.
It personally doesn’t bother me to use some health pots, I have a roster that can clear what needs done. ( And what else is there to use them on?) But turning off the willpower and salve mastery in the skill lane is lame.
(If just a little bit of thought were put into these nodes, it would be so much better.)
I wish I could use a champ for multiple fights cause I don't have a wide enough roster size to complete Elder, so I'm missing out on rewards I got prior to this change
I'm fine with the amount of Fights. I'd be happy if they adjusted it down a bit more. It's still too overtuned.
The amount of fights to be done in the span of a month, it's nothing.
it’s too sluggish , boring and uninteresting coated with a thick icing of chip damage to be anywhere near enjoyable.
It would have been an excellent idea if they gave Cav and above copies of low tier showcased champs of the month to do a pre run before Elder difficulty, to test the new champ’s abilities.
They could even put objectives to use said champs special attacks to see what they’re all about,..that would be cool and fun,..i know,..unfamiliar territory for kabam,..but who knows maybe it would even get them some more early access bundle sales,..and then they could nerf them 😅
You must be Paragon or higher to do Elder difficulty.

wasn’t speaking of so called “elder difficulty “
Was saying,..instead of “classic difficulty “ do a mini run with low tier showcased champs of the month,..in a mini style quest,..just an idea thats much better than the 💩 classic mode they have now.
But then Kabam only has the best ideas obviously,..sure,..anyone for superhero poker?
You literally said “It would have been an excellent idea if they gave Cav and above copies of low tier showcased champs of the month to do a pre run before Elder difficulty, to test the new champ’s abilities.”
You can see how I could be confused about whether or not you were talking about Elder difficulty, since you were literally talking about Elder difficulty.
I might be misremembering but wasn’t valiant difficulty just the same as elder but lower health pool and attack values? Is peoples main problem just that it’s overtuned? Personally my main problem is what other people have said, the nodes need looking at, they’re really old and most of the champs we use now don’t match the nodes.
my bad,..i was being a bit vague.
I didn’t mean as a prerequisite to enter Elder difficulty,..i just meant as a short quest in general to get a shot to use said champs and test out their abilities.
Just an idea, and i will admit i could’ve used my wording better.
I think one way to solve the problem would be to have two different metas that switch halfway. Have the first half of the Skill chapter be a "champions must be able to shrug debuffs" meta and the next half be a "champions must counter evade" meta. That way, you'd only need 7 or 8 champions with that particular set of utility, which is far more manageable than finding 15 of them in your roster (especially when they ask for utility that they haven't released any new champions with for years).
It would also alleviate the problem of having a constant heal block on for the entire 15-fight run in the current Skill meta. I kind of enjoyed the challenge of trying to space out the champions who could heal me back up throughout the other class chapters, but all of that is moot in the Skill chapter and just leads to a potion sink. I don't really have anything else to use those potions on right now so it didn't matter too much this month, but it would be really annoying if they released something like the Wheel of Fate or Epoch of Pain at the same time.
I don't mind the single lanes with 16 fights or whatever the number is, but having to do classic difficulty to get there is annoying as hell.
The amount of fights aren't a problem in the slightest. There are two main issues:
One, it's still tuned toward endgame content without the rewards being tuned in line with that. It's better than it was, but still has a way to go. If they are going to continue to make it so we don't heal up from fight to fight, then attack values need to drop. This will also make lower ranked champs a little more viable, making the amount of fights easier.
Two, when Kabam launched the nodes we still have today back when Cav EQ was introduced, they came with additional nodes that allowed that class to benefit when something was natively in their kit. Take tech for example - while the class most commonly has power drain and armor ups compared to most other classes, it's not the whole class. In fact, a lot of the tech champs that get ranked up nowadays don't have either of those things in their kits. So how do they benefit from the nodes? They don't, so now you have to either take super long fights with champs you like and ranked, or take super risky and costly fights with champs you don't have ranked but can get through the fight faster. Previously, they would add a node so that a champ like Shuri could have an alternate route for benefiting from the node. Same with mystic - they don't all nullify and some of the better and more commonly ranked wants actually want you to have buffs sometimes, so Kabam previously made a way where a champ like Chavez could nullify a buff and benefit from the node.
If they fixed these two things, it would be greatly improved. If you're not going to give free healing, lower the attack values. If you're going to have us take 16 fights, which is fine, drop the health values are keep the nodes from being limited to only a small portion of the classes.
^ this right here - all of it. Those are my exact thoughts too.
A few things need to happen in combination to make it better/more enjoyable. They either still need tuning down or give you the ability to heal between fights. Then 16 doesn't feel like too much. If they did neither of those things, then 16 just isn't fun and it should be 12 or something, but I'd rather have more fights that are fun than a few less that feel like this.
The node thing is a big point of contention for me as well. With a lot of the older/not too meta champs being the ones that benefit from it, I'm taking 7r1's or 6's into the fight primarily, and not getting to use any of my newer or ranked up champs for it. Something like the mutant node is great because you can essentially use ANY mutant and benefit from the node.
I used more items and resources for this month's EQ than I did on any of my 9.2 that I was also exploring simultaneously - I barely used anything.
You need a massive roster to do it because you're forced to swap out a character each fight
Ten fights is plenty for these rewards. way to go to make eq suck worse than before!
being able to do 6 lanes in classic then 6 again in elder… boss fight one time each. I like it. I have a stacked roster so it’s a breeze.
Other accounts I can see the struggle.
also, I’ll use a 6* r4 or so as a first fight since I can restart without real penalty. This gives me room for my ranked roster for the remaining fights minus the boss since I can use any class.
Yes, and the rewards are mid.
Just finished this. One run of classic then elder, yes it takes up less time than before. Would prefer 10 fights, including the boss. Don’t mind needing one run of classic as it helps me to familiarize with the new champions specials in the last 2 chapters
After recent update i find the quest quite less difficulty when it was first introduced and number of fights for each lane is also in right amount
I think it's justified for high prestige
15 def for some
14 for some
13 for some
All based on prestige tier ofc
Honestly it isnt so bad and pretty doable with a decent roster of 6* and 7* champs, no issues with the new format myself. Rewards per tier could be better but worth it in the end
no, you dont need a massive roster, I run 4 accounts and all of them are different sizes in terms of champs and I have no issues doing this elder EQ without issues!
Are you dumb or blind? You do need a big roster with many ranked up. First quest there is 14 fights before the gwenpool boss. It only allows mutant champ swaps that means you need 13 or 14 highly ranked mutants to take it on. My highest is onsl 7 r3 and the rest are a lot lower
It's not designed for lower level players that haven't got many champions ranked up though
So if you want to engage in this bonus monthly challenge you should start developing your
