My last 2 BGs matches and losses obviously vs ppl with 20+r4 and 11mil rating. Will kabam ever do fair matchmaking in this game, or BGs is only up so Bero can get his monthly radiance income ? 😂

I can't belive that with 30 pts in BGs and 8mil rating, I'm fairly matched with 100+pts ppl with 11mil rating and 20+r4s.
Can't we have a system where, let's say you have 10 r4s, you get matched with ppl having 8-10?
Since radiance is a big currency in game, it's disheartening to even try earning more when massive pay2win accounts even without skill smashes you cuz Deck full of paid r4s...

I know this post will get some hate comments and funny guys saying "skill issue" but I was 200pts + before the game was broken with so many pay2win options.

They don't believe fair matchmaking embodies competition, so instead they lean in the totally opposite direction.

The mode ends up not having the impact they expected, but instead of addressing the actual problems and concerns, they mostly abandon it in favor of halfway catching the rest of the game up.

They finally come back to BGs, but instead of doing the right thing, they double down on investing in their broken system. But don't worry, we'll be getting more experimental PVE modes and yet another experimental AW war season. Don't forget the all the map changes and balancing that happened to AW through the seasons too. I wonder when that same level of approach to creating a fair and balanced experience will be coming to BGs?

Just keep recycling the glass of pee they're serving you in BGs and wring as many nutrients out as you can. If you question it, the problem isn't in the system they fail to accept has failed, it's on you for not understanding it and refusing to properly appreciate the few benefits you get out of engaging with it. Be grateful for drinking piss season after season. At least you got something out of it!

Of course I'll say all this, then top 30 prestige based little leagues will drop next month.

No argument. This BG season has been nothing but irritating. I can’t get out of Diamond V, as I’m paired against ridiculously stacked whales. Every one of them has R4+ Serpent, Spider-Woman, Enchantress, Bullseye, Photon, Yelena, and Onslaught, and they melt my roster.

I see the same argument time and time again.

We’re all playing for the same rewards. If you only want to face rosters that are similar to yours, then you don’t deserve the full rewaeds on offer in BG’s.

It sounds like you're already in glad? So your in the zone that is literally purely competitive. If not many people are playing youll get matched with people that are higher ( but if you lose, you lose less points, and if you win, you win a lot more) to prevent having reallly long queues. (also its not even week 2 and less people in general are playing bgs so the amount of "whales" is probably more saturated than other seasons )

And at the end of the day this game is part roster building is it not? Why should you be able to get to celestial only vsing "smaller" accounts, that just removes half the game. Why play the game if the rewards you earn/pay for cant help you. why play bgs to earn radiance to get/rank more champs, if that is just gonna make you vs stronger people, that whole idea is backwards.

this is like a plat2 ally pushing for plat1, and then they shockingly vs a p1 ally (thats more stacked) and then complaining that the matchmaking is rigged and not fair.

also, roster size barely means anything, i am a ftp 6.smth mil account and i got to 100 points today, and only lost one game getting there…. did i vs some whales? ofc i did, does that mean i instantly lost? no of course not. just cause theyre whaley doesnt mean theyre good at the game, hell is usually means theyre worse, not knowing how to do more than one matchup with their shiny new champs.

I want you to respond to this one question.

Lets make you match players at your level.

Lets also assume you are ultra pro player.

Lets assume you have 5 r4s.

You match 5r4 vs 5r4.. since you ultra mega pro, you win 90% of your matches and land celestial rank.

On the other hand

Lets assume 30r4 players are all super pro.

They will fight 30r4s vs 30r4s, but they are all a mixed bag of proness. Some win 70% of their matches and land Celestial. In this case there will be playes among those who will lose every match they play and land gamma. Cuz they do be losing much much more than you.

So we are punishing player who are more progressed? Why not evey player stays at 0 r4s and match with 0 r4s and take the cake of top ranks.

You are brave enough to question matchmaking, so be brave enough to answer this.

Here is the question. Define Fair?

As somebody with a skill issue myself, I can assure you that roster size can easily make up the difference in skill.

My best bud is way better at this game than I am, he has his main account, and his mini account.

When him and I do friendlies and I'm against his main, he regularly whoops me.

BBut he can rarely beat me with his mini, who has half the roster I do. Since you say roster size doesn't make a difference, please do explain how a much more skilled player than I am can't overcome the roster difference between my main account and his smaller secondary account.

Bro, my acc rating is 5M only with just 5 r4, still they match me with 10M+ acc's with 15 16 r4 regularly and sometimes match with master alliance members with 20+ r4. Issue is whales don't play early, they camp and start pushing last 8-12 days ,and when they gets match with us in arcane or quantum, their whale accounts just outdeck us. This isn't fair for mid acc players that we work hard to reach arcane 2+ and suddenly whales start pushing and smash us. They should make sure whales don't camp. And this season, even in VT whales r still present even after almost 2 weeks.

many people only do their 5 matches beginning of season and then just drop the mode until later on.

Kabam can’t control the flow of battlegrounds or peoples gaming habits or interests,..they can only give radiance objectives as incentive to prioritize it,..but that won’t mean the same thing to everybody and some people just won’t care.

What is fair to OP isn't fair the same fairness to others. All OP wants is an easy fight for all the glory (radiance). Fighting against top players like Bero is unfair but fighting against big accounts is also unfair. If OP can fight against only similar or smaller accounts that would be fair to OP. If that is the structure than like @SirGamesBond said, that actually is only fair to the small accounts and not everyone else. Why should a 2 million account be able to get the same resources as at 12 million account because OP doesn't want to spend the time or money to play the game. OP wants instant gratification without much effort. Once the effort is too hard, OP comes here complaining about being unfair.

So the question is what is fair to everyone. I have suggested in the past Kabam should have a tier BG system like Incursions with the rewards that match the tier. These way all those players who complian about unfair matches and that they just want to have fun playing BG can chose which rewards they want to play for.

Every damn season 🙄. Battlegrounds isn't fair. It isn't designed to be fair. It's an open competition and you will fight whoever is in your tier or points threshold at the time you pressed match. That's it. That's the game mode. You WILL hit a wall in the mode, where that wall is depends on your skill and your account. For some it's mysterium, for others it's quantum, others arcane and for others it's stuck in the VT.

Stop thinking the mode has to be designed around being fair to you and your accounts limitations and just play the mode until you hit your wall and be content with what rewards that gives you and move on. Improve your roster as much as you can and come back again next season to do it all over again.

But it's an open competition so you may have to fight them if they are making their way up the circuit at the time you decide to play.

And it's not your question that has frustrated everyone. It's your question and the 4000 of the same question that we get every season. Like, how many times does it have to be explained? Battlegrounds is not fair.

And remember, for every post from someone like you with 5-10 r4s complaining about having to face rosters with 20-25 r4s, there another post from someone with 1r4 complaining about you, but I bet you happily fight those accounts.

I used to destroy accounts 2-4 times stronger than mine now it's all about how much you spent last month or two to get said feature champion with only one counter and every damn match is 3-5x stronger than me I have 5 r4's and my opponents have nothing but 10+ r4's and all r3 brand new champions. Even at that I should still be able to win but no the game skips or adds frames at the perfect time crit rate goes to zero whiff attacks manipulated power gain rates always in favor of the bigger account

They introduced prestige based on 30 champions, so why isn’t matchmaking based on prestige as well? If my top 30 champions have an average prestige of 27k, why am I constantly matched against players with 31k?

At the very least there should be fair thresholds. For example, if you are at 27k, you should only face players between 26k and 28k. This is not only a matter of fairness, it directly affects the enjoyment of the game. Forcing players into matches they are destined to lose regardless of skill makes the entire system pointless and frustrating.

I do not care about the rewards and I do not care about the ranking. I am talking about the pure enjoyment of the mode, which otherwise becomes nothing more than feeding free points to bigger accounts.

prestige matchmaking Is the solution. Period.

Fairness and enjoyment are two completely different things. If they introduce the JV mode for BGs where people can’t face lesser competition and earn lesser rewards, maybe that’ll address your complaint.

As you can see from the whale grounds drones, BGs is not fair at all. At the end of the day, it's just a mobile game anyway, real fair competition won't be found on here. The mobile gamers will call you trash for not dropping $1k on every sale since as we all know, money = skill.

You know these guys are clueless when they start comparing a p2w gacha mode to real life. You would think that someone over the age of 40 would be smart enough to know the difference, but I guess not.

Clearly it is a skill issue that you don't tap your credit card as good as them
