this post is so disingenuous. The “middle ground” on spiderwoman is honestly insulting you think we buy it. It’s an offensive nerf and you’re continuing to insult our intelligence by claiming otherwise. And you can’t remove classic difficulty until next year? Ok. It’s really sad that after almost a decade this feels like the end for me.

Hey dude, your intelligence is not being insulted here.

Every Champion is subject to a rebalance period, and can be changed at any time if there's a breakglass balance emergency - we don't need to pretend like we're doing something else if we feel the need to make adjustments.

Spider-Woman was found to be more potent than intended on Defense, and the Team decided to remove Ensnare to soften her potency on Defense by removing her scattered Ability Accuracy Reduction.
After reading through feedback, we realized that we ended up impacting her more than we wanted to, and decided to give her back her Evade counter through different means, as it was clear we missed the mark on her review.

Unfortunately, due to our current Tech, it is literally impossible to allow the bypass of Classic before early next year due to capacity constraints. The best we can do is make the comittment to the change, and make Classic significantly easier to make the Classic pass a lot faster and smoother.

Then why not just turn off ensnare when she’s a defender? You’ve done that before.

In general, we don't find her unreliable source of Ability Accuracy Reduction to be a healthy part of her kit on either Defense or Attack; however, we wanted to keep her Evade counter intact, and in doing so, actually made the counter more powerful than it was before.

Her Evade counter used to be subject to purify / cleanse / etc, now attached to Fumble, this can't happen.

ok, but, like, that’s not what you said in the post. Again, it’s disingenuous. The communication has always been defense only. I realize my opinion is irrelevant but it’s really sad seeing the state of the game. I’ve never felt more disconnected. Nothing in the middle ground post fixes that. It’s so frustrating.

This was never really mentioned in the initial announcement of her rework. However, does this apply to every champ with a similar AAR? A lot of champs with different meta relevance can do this. Okoye's ensare can be purified…

I see you edited it to dude. But bear with me here. You are supposed to be a professional community manager for a company now. Not just a YouTube content creator. Calling someone dude with what sounds like a condescending tone, considering your role and the way the game has gone lately, isnt a good idea. Perhaps being more cheerful and using their username would be more appropriate. The term "buddy" isn't offensive. I know you can't convey inflection in text, but taking someone to task on a word that really means friend just because it's offensive with sarcasm is nitpicking. He wasn't offensive in his message, let's not make it a problem.

This change is a big improvement, but it's STILL a slight nerf to her offensively, when the goal was a defensive nerf. Don't a lot of champions have abilities that change based on whether they are attacking or defending? Why can't Spider woman do the same thing? Why are we still removing her 30% AAR on offense?

Y'all make a bad decision, admit it, own up to it, but then only partially fix it. Over and over.

Do nerfs fairly. Make content that's enjoyable. Focus on giving players choices rather than restrictions. Stop trying to backtrack on years of QOL improvements. This game still has life to it, but the past year we've been trending in the wrong direction. Right this ship before it's too late.

This proves you did actually find her ensnare problematic on offense as well. You didn't like that she became an unintented option for basically all the top defensive champs as well as being an unintended overperformer defensively. Just wish you came right out and said it from the get go.
