Is Nico or Karolina getting nerfed. These two champions breathed a lot of excitement into the game and many of us, including my self have spent quite a bit here. You guys for sure already know, can you please let us know.

I believe you, do you know approximately when that review will happen and that announcement will be made. I know I’ve been overly present on this topic in the forum but this is very serious. Spiderwoman, Nico and Karolina are obviously good champions and I have probably put in close to $750 maybe more getting and investing in all three of them. I know I’m not alone, this will be a very tough pill (maybe too tough) if all three of them were nerfed. I understand that Kabam has full right to do this and I parted with my money freely but this, it’s just too unethical if it goes down this way.

It also sets the tone that anytime this company allows the player to have any ease or upper hand, it’s immediately snuffed. Nico actually does something for you in an obvious way, Karolina actually does something for you in an obvious way. You don’t need to pay attention to 5 timers and have perfect RNG for something to happen, they are just good from the start and it’s just…wrong to take that away.

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex Thanks for all the reply’s. I really do appreciate it. You and pinwheel are great community correspondents and I don’t blame you nor should anyone in the community for what is going on. If I could snap my fingers, I think you would be great in a more managerial place and a very healthy hire for sure, but, I can’t and I’m not sure if that’s in the cards.

To be honest dude, I’m not sure what the cards are at all right now but as as someone who has played since just about the beginning, this really does feel like the end of the game. I really hope Kabam understands, there is a point where you can break something or someone and although many of us don’t want the game to end, including myself for a multitude of reasons, one of them of course being how much money I (and the community) have spent over the last decade, there is a point where you’ve just had enough, and I think we may be there or at the beginning of this process unless there’s not some very serious turnaround.

A final note, and I of course do not speak for anyone but myself, but I’ll give you an example. This compensation package we’re gonna get, I’m guessing there’s gonna be a titan crystal in there. I honestly , like truly, I couldn’t care less. Why should I or anyone care. I know it you know it, that raccoon that broke through my trash last night knows it, there is a very high chance that the the champions we’re all searching for in that crystal will most likely not be that way soon.

There’s just no enjoyment buddy and that’s not your fault for sure, I remember watching your videos way back, I know you started as a player who loved this game far before you were an employee, but this is where we’re at and I just hope that Kabam (or Netmarble, I’m not sure what Kabam is to be honest) understands this and that there is a limit.

People should assume Nico will be nerfed, she has steamrolled the cosmic class and having a pre-fight for buff immunity is extremely overpowered.

Karolina is a harder sell to nerf, she’s kinda like a higher utility modern Hyperion. She’s probably better than kabam intended but there won’t be small tweaks they can make, just fundamental changes to her that’d cause a lot of upset.

I like your comparison to Hyperion. I'd argue Nico is to cosmic what Torch is to mystics. One prefights that nukes and shuts down the following class. This is the factor when it comes to war, similar to the old days of having to pick which aw fight you want to use torch's prefight in.

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex just a quick question. How does balancing work for new champs that are barely used. I’m thinking when champs like New Falcon come into the game. I’ve never seen him used on offense or defence as he’s perceived to be far inferior to many champs already in the game. How do you have enough data points to determine if a rebalance is necessary or by how much?

Kabam’s Spider-Woman Dev Diary is the same old routine: hype an OP champ, rake in sales, then nerf once the money dries up. Classic Kabam. Karolina and Nico are probably next.

Fixing her was simple:
Attacker → Ensnare ON
Defender → Ensnare OFF
But honesty isn’t Kabam’s thing—they clearly don’t want her strong offensively either.

“Spider-Woman on Node 42 is terrifying”? Please. The real issue is fumble. Meanwhile Enchantress, Serpent, Bullseye ruin players everywhere, but Kabam targets SW because she shuts down their “unbeatable” kits like Dark Phoenix’s immortality, Serpent’s death immunity, Bullseye’s evade. Spider-Woman happens to be too versatile for their (and Kabam's) fragile egos.

They sold us SW for her ensnare, now call it “balancing.” No - it’s just protecting their next cash cow. At the end of the day, it’s not Spider-Woman that needs rebalancing. It’s Kabam.

you’re right — it’s the breadth of matchups that she can take. Kabam is happiest when champs have absolute domination over a small, defined group of opponents . Makes their sales strategy very clear. It’s the tyranny of RPG design.

SW and Karolina are too unpredictable for them to accept.

Do you guys have any plans to restructure the rebalancing cadence or make any adjustments to the program that would give a more healthy amount of confidence to chasing and ranking up new champions?

I know the program has been in place for years now, but I feel the spider-woman incident has really revealed how "real" it actually is. It has changed my (and many other player's) outlook on new champions. Hoarding titans for 3 months and waiting for another 3 months with bated breath does not feel good as a player. At all. I've fallen in love with Karolina. Now all I feel towards her is anxiety - waiting to see if she will still be the same champion I was introduced to when I pulled her from the titan.

I think rebalancing info should be released before a champion hits the titan. That's just one person's opinion. But at least give us the reassurance that this concern is being passed onto the game/champion/rebalancing teams. Thank you.

Where are they going to get the data from for that? People who pull new champions from pre-release crystals?

I think we all know that sufficiently extensive testing by Kabam pre-release isn't the answer … they need data from champions who've been released into the wild.

Why should the general populous be forced to R3 and R4 new champions just to be the guinee pigs that provide the data that will be used to nerf those very same champions? This system is flawed.

Kabam needs us to R3 and R4 new titan champs and use them in relevant game modes (BGs, War) to get data to nerf them. But if nerfing continues, people will no longer rank up and use these new champs before they are rebalanced, giving Kabam no more extra data anyways. See how this may become a useless cycle? I'm starting to see the program as nothing more than a thing I have to wait out before giving myself permission to like a champion.

I don't think it's crazy to suggest champions should be finalized before hitting the titan. Kabam SHOULD do more extensive internal testing, collaboration with the CCP, etc. It would not have been hard to get CCP members or their own employees to test that spiderwoman could do serpent and dark phoenix, which they didn't like.

As for getting the CCP to test them - I mean, they didn't even get the CCP to test out the suggestion "We're planning to rebalance Spider-Woman by removing her Ensnare ability - that'll be okay, right?".
