More lies from Kabam

If the ensnare is too inconsistent then why not remove all AAR from game? We have champs like Domino, Massacre, antivenom, okoye, Kingpin, jabari who place debuffs YOU created Kabam like ensnare, disorientate, concussion or just mess with AA in their kit, none are 100%, none are consistent so are you getting rid of all of them?

REMOVE ENSARE OFF DEFENSE AND NOT ATTACK how difficult is that? Surely the coding to remove it completely and make fumble counter evade is more effort?

I mean you already told us you cant handle the work load since it'll take 3+ months to allow us to skip sh*tty EQ normal difficulty

the difference here is Swoman is within the window to stop broken AAR. While i would have loved for it to stay, i think we got a decent compromise in the end.

The ensnare is inconsistent and a problem on defense because she can randomly make things like slow and true accuracy fail meaning even with a counter you can end up getting evaded and eating sp1.

As for literally all the examples you mentioned, none of them trigger that aar on you randomly other than Domino but guess what? There's a good chunk of techs immune to aar these days precisely because of that. How many skills are immune to aar?

As for your last point why would you want them to do that? You are aware that that ensnare can fail some abilities on defense randomly like the reversed controls during Onslaught's sp2 or Thing's rock stacks right? Removing ensnare makes her much easier and better to use against these two, I'm sure there are other defenders she'll have less trouble taking down after this change.

People need to stop crashing out and looking at the negatives only cause we are getting way more positives out of this. Instead focus on the other issues which weren't even mentioned in that dev diary.

There are no positives in that dev diary, just the usual slop that we are used for a few years now.

What about the 30% chance to remove Serpent's immortality? I tell you something, that is more useful than Things failing rock stacks, which you can go around if you're skilled.

And there are other examples where her AAR can be useful in attack. Seatin gave the best example, I would rather have that 30% chance in a fight and risk it.

Tell me tho, enlighten me how do you play around it if Thing is at 14 rock stacks and he already threw a special and has no power? Cause that is exactly what happened the other day I have him at 10, hit him five times but one of the hits randomly didn’t trigger his rock stacks so he was stuck at 14 and he threw the special. Furthermore tell us how you play around Onslaught’s sp2 when you’re basically guessing whether the reversed controls will trigger or not.

Anyways yes I will sacrifice a completely unreliable 30% aar so I can fight Onslaught and Thing without worrying about their defensive abilities not triggering randomly due to aar.

You can spin it however you want mate, a 30% chance is ridiculously low and unreliable to even claim “oh I can shut down stuff”, you can but more often than not you won’t because numbers don’t lie. The changes are what they are and a lot of us are satisfied with them so we’re moving on to the next issue, you lot are just beating a dead horse at this point.

@ItsClobberinTime I dont know how much you play this game, but for me personally 30% is a lot especially when its triggering a lot of time during the fight ,not just once. So whether it helps or not, why change the effect at all when its only a problem in defense. Stick to what you said and just make the changes on defense, thats just pretty easy, just like Okoye, she can trigger it on offense only, unless the plan was to nerf her in offense from the begining, but since they had no other excuse, they used the ‘Oh, she is too broken on defense’ cards. The problem with you guys supporting Kabam is so shady dude

I don't spin anything, I actually played around Things rock stacks with Swoman recently in war, I survived. I don't push Onslaught to SP2.

I know a lot of people don't really understand percentages, so I don't really want this to be a math lesson. You should get those in school.

I agree that there are a lot of other issues in the game which Kabam haven't said (or done) anything for ages. That's why everyone is on the edge. And that's not my fault, or yours or others that complain, even if you think is a small thing. Overtime the glass gets full, overfills and starts to spill everywhere.

I play enough to be in Mysterium, but go on with the strawman those are usually the funniest lol.

30% (if you know how to count) means the chance is relatively low, so now it won’t trigger a lot of time during the fight and if it does that’s just you getting very lucky which won’t be the case most of the time. You will have times where it won’t trigger at all.

Because 1. That ensnare can be shrugged off and you lose your evade counter, something that won’t happen with the fumble because it’s severe and 2. It sometimes causes dumb interactions like disabling Onslaught’s reversed controls during sp2 and you accidentally dash into it because you guessed wrong, you like playing a guessing game mid fight? I don’t lol.

The problem is you obviously don’t understand the game fully and don’t realize that this is a nerf and a buff at the same time, this “nerf” makes the evade counter way more reliable and stronger now because purify abilities and cleanse won’t be able to remove it like they do with ensnare, and then there’s also the fact that like I’ve said ten times already on multiple threads (off that everyone keeps ignoring it I guess they just don’t have any counter arguments) that ensnare causes bs interactions such as Onslaught’s reversed controls getting turned off randomly during his sp2 which means you never can push him to sp2 because there is a 30% chance he won’t apply reversed controls at which point you’re playing a guessing game, guess wrong and if your evade doesn’t trigger you’re dead.

Also if you go look at my posts you’ll realize I don’t defend Kabam 90% of the time, he’ll I’ve been very vocal about the issues this month but this whining about ensnare is annoying because that ensnare brought nothing of value to the table due to its low chance. We as in the vast majority, had an issue with nerf because of the evade, you people are trying to spin this into sometaging else just for the sake of complaining

You clearly didn’t learn anything in high school if you think 30% is high enough to be reliable. I also doubt you’re that good of a player if one of your arguments is “I don’t push him to sp2”. That’s a whole minute and thirty sec fight in BGs which is a loss if you play anywhere in the higher leagues in GC, that would explain why you’re whining about something so insignificant that more often than not has no effects when using her but when fighting against her or against specific defenders can be very punishing

@ItsClobberinTime battlegrounds is not the only game mode this game is built on, so no need to flex your battlegrounds standing, if I may, I am sitting at mysterium myself, and have been playing this game for 10years, so I do have plenty of expertise. And just because you have problem with dexing one champs specials, thats a you problem not a community problem, just dont dex then, dont use that as an excuse to defend a nerf. And its not whinning, especially when its a change to the kit that was advertised in the first place. And does she only go against champs thats have cleanse, how many champs on a daily basis do you fight against that have cleanse as a mechanic. So thats just a bs argument. And no one is an idiot to use a debuff focus champ against a champ who has cleanse in there mechanics

and rather than making some feeling low on there intelligence as you did above, you should be understanding that 30% changes triggering multiple times is still going to be a lot of help, i can say countless time, that aar has helped me in battlegrounds match during this meta, not letting them trigger one of the buff when they throw their sps, or sometimes both.

We literally have champs that shut off masteries. We also have champs that shrug off buffs randomly, so sometimes we can't parry sometimes we can't dex sometimes we can't intercept. When ensnare is up, play more carefully.

Seriously, I think like half the champs in this game have a random amount of AAR, so yeah… a lot trigger aar randomly.

Why are you using her vs Onslaught and The Thing then? Why are you pushing Onslaught to a S2 knowing ensnare is up or going to be up and risking that? Just use literally anyone else, or…. play more carefully.

People aren't crashing out. I love when anyone has any issue, everyone always try to negate that with the most extreme thing possible. Sure some people are crashing out, but I think we can confidently say, most people are rightfully upset for how this entire last month has went, and this is just more on top of it.

Ensare was never a bad thing. 30% AAR on top of running 3 pacify meant you had a 60% chance to stop BS. And that was balanced for YEARS because it wasn't 100% chance to shut stuff down, but it was a big enough chance to push a lot of champs into meta relevance throughout our time playing this game. Champs that actually put up 100% AAR were nerfed, and Kabam made sure that we don't see that too often, not without set up at least. So you constantly arguing that this ability was more of a hindrance is completely untrue. Because it's everywhere in the game, and it's always been everywhere in the game. Sorry that you're mysterium and still push Onslaught to s2 and incorrectly dex it/ unable to watch The Things stacks while hitting him STUNNED to make sure he goes to 15.

How about we take this whole conversation and talk about how AA shouldn't randomly NOT bleed someone during a heavy attack. It's so unreliable. I hate that I could only get to 2 neuros before variable X made it to

I also feel the need to share I did the ordeal yesterday and was so upset. I pushed Vision to sp2, but my spiderman didn't place any taunts, then he gained power to sp3 and I died.

Nobody has trouble dexing any specials, it's the fact that she can randomly disable the reversed controls and dashed into his special. This is something even Celestial players have pointed out so it's not a skill issue, just a bad interaction that can be very punishing if you don't guess right.

It's not just champs it's nodes that have purify, it's not a bs argument it's a fact the evade counter is now more reliable and consistent because it's a severe debuff.

Bullseye has purify and they clearly showcased her taking Bullseye, if anyone's an idiot here it's you lol.

They still triggered one of them more often than not, I have a r4 Spider Woman myself and I took her to r4 only after the announcement yesterday. You can be mad all you want, this is what I and other people wanted personally, either deal with it or just don't use her. I've give you my reason, if you still don't agree then agree to disagree

Again how many celestial players are there, so all you care about is celestial players. And no one uses spiderwoman against bullseye, we are not karatemike and we dont want to be, we know our matchups and we bring specific champs for those matchups. And dont push onslaughts to sp2. No they don't, nobody in the game triggers aar abilities the way Spider Woman does on defense other than Domino which is why we have multiple techs immune to aar. Where are all the skills immune to aar for your argument to even be valid? That's what you're not getting there are ways to play around those, not with this one, the threat of it randomly failing your hard counters (which they're called hard counters for a reason) is always there and that makes absolutely no sense.

That's the beauty of it, I won't need to once the nerf goes through, and they will both be way easier to counter with her something you numbnuts continue to ignore for some weird reason.

I've been vocal about the other issues this month, which is why I've been saying it's time to move on from this and focus on the other issues which still haven't been addressed. Regarding the nerf specifically tho, the trade off feels fair to me, if it doesn't for you then agree to disagree.

It's everywhere in the game yes, but not on defense to the extent it is on hers, or on offense to quite literally screw you over against certain defenders like it is on her. I'm not trolling, I'm just trying to understand why some of you are so damn dense and I really can't figure it out. They made the evade counter more reliable and stronger because nothing can get rid of it now, and they made her less of a pain in the ass on defense, and you people are still crying lmfao over a mere 30% chance to fail abilities as if it that really was a big deal when it isn't.

Let me dumb it down for you since you appear to be mentally disabled:

Onslaught's sp2 happens so fast that if that ensnare fails the reversed controls you don't really have time to react and swipe the other way so you just eat sp2, and if you bait sp1s that's a whole 1:30-1:40 fight at which point your score is easily beatable.

As for Thing, I know how to manage his rock stacks but here's how the situation unfolded. He was at 10 and close to one bar correct? I hit him five times and one of my hits fails to give him a rock stack so he's stuck at 14 and even though I hold block he throws the special. Oh no skill issue what should have I done there? You're right I should've assumed one of my five hits would randomly not grant him a rock stack.

Yes I do think AAR is a dumb thing to have in this game. But her ensnare was hardly that. We have entire nodes that do this 100x harder and we never complain unless it becomes content that's considered unfair.

Idk about you, but I have zero issues with Spiderwoman on defense. You don't have to have something that negates AAR. Like you said plenty of times, her ensnare can be shrugged, which a lot of skill champs CAN do. You also have a ton of skill champs that lower AAR, and you have champs like okoye and jabari that can also ensnare consistently.

I've also been super vocal, how this isn't entirely about her buff or nerf, it's a culmination of all the bs kabam is TRYING TO PULL. When does it stop? We can go into the fine fine details and come out saying hey this is better than before, but the reality is, it's an unnecessary change to a champ that definitely didn't need to happen before other changes to other champs.

WE LITERALLY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE EVADE COUNTER. WE CARE THAT WE'RE CHANGING A CHARACTER THAT DIDNT NEED TO BE CHANGED.

Anyways we clearly won't find common ground so I'm just going to leave this thread lol I will however say this, you are not the majority here anymore because the majority wanted the evade counter back, we got it back and now it's even more reliable than it was before which is why most of the backlash is gone except for a few babies here and there. Also, if you go into either of the fights I mentioned "thinking" you still can't control the unpredictability of that ensnare screwing you over at the worst moments possible, the beauty of it is both fights will be doable with zero issues once ensnare is gone.

If you want to keep whining go ahead and keep whining 🥀 I myself I'm satisfied with the changes because I'll be able to do more fights after these changes lol have a good one.

From your comments about how Spider-Woman’s AAR needs to be removed you feel that Domino should have her base 15% AAR and her unlucky passive’s 35% AAR removed because with her not even her unpredictability is all that predictable

or I’m guessing that you just wouldn’t use her in such matchups, a large part of choosing who to use in fights is knowing how those champions abilities interact, I’ve fought both Onslaughts and Things with both Spider-Woman and Domino and know that there abilities can mess with those fights but I REALLY don’t think that the solution to this “problem” is removing the ability

Domino is a different situation because as I explained multiple times above if you actually read what I said, there are multiple techs immune to aar precisely because of her. How many skill champs are immune to aar?

I didn’t say it was a problem, I simply said I don’t mind the changes because while it will take away that small part of her kit it will also allow her to take other matchups more comfortably. I have a r4 and I never had a situation where that aar actually came in handy other than maybe preventing Kindred’s root a few times but you can play around that easily, way easier than playing around Onslaught’s sp2 when it randomly fails the reversed controls that’s for sure.

You say that YOU’VE rarely been in a situation where her AAR has been to your benefit well what about the others that have said the ability has been to THEIRS

you can quite easily play around Onslaught’s reverse controls failing by (shockingly) baiting out his SP1, which sure would be a slower fight but that’s a choice you need to make when choosing champs in areas where timing matters, this works great for me because I’m not the greatest at reversing controls already

So you see this as a win because you can use another champ for fights that could already be done with other champs while removing utility of a champ that a lot of people ranked while knowing about said utility

and since champs were made to combat Domino’s randomness doesn’t that also mean that others can be made to counter Spider-Woman’s, we already know that creating a problem then selling the solution is a major part of the champion release cycle (ie Serpent → his counters released since, or more recently Yelena → Silver Samurai)

I brought up the whining part because unless I’m mistaken you’re a Forum Guardian (I believe that’s what the silver stars mean), this, I also believe, means you have a closer relation to the community managers than most of the forum users, the same people that have said everyone should be treated as adults, is this what they mean, because trust me I can get into some real name calling if that’s what they want the forum to descend into
