You know me. I have the sixth-largest account in the game and the highest Prestige in the world. On average, I have spent more than $25,000/year on this game, and sometimes a lot more. I am privileged to be in this position. I am very mindful of that. It seems to me that you need to be reminded of the fact that you exist because of the players, and not the other way around.

The last time I failed to buy a newly released champion from early release bundles was The Serpent in March 2024. To be sure, I think I spent at least $1,500 trying for him, but no dice. Guess what? You didn't nerf The Serpent. You didn't nerf Onslaught, or Enchantress. But, you nerfed "defensive" Spider-woman. And you made sure to nerf her by also nerfing her offensive kit. You advertise **** logic, and then you even go against that. You could have just removed SW's Ensnare on defense, and despite all of the loud community voices calling for that, you decided to nerf her on offense anyway. Your disingenuous nature continues to be noted.

I have often read and heard it said, "Kabam needs money. They don't need your money." Well, they **** need mine. No matter how good Dracula or Frankendurrdurr are, I am not buying them. What faith would I have, even if they are good, that they would be allowed to be good just a few months later? None.

Kabam, you did this. It's fantastically unfortunate that your processes have led to so many enthusiastic players being so disillusioned with your game. From my perspective, leave SW alone, or at least leave her Ensnare on offense. But that's not going to happen, is it? NO ONE should buy any of your newly released champs. If you do, you could be buying a Lexus that is PLANNED to become a Mercury Cougar.

To anyone that has any comments about my spend or whatnot, you should know that I would have to try a lot harder to care about you. I'm the players' advocate. If you insist on being a poverty shill for Kabam, then have fun with that.

I’m way ahead of you my man. Stopped spending a while ago. Not even remotely tempted to pony up ever again due to Kabam’s tactics.

I'm higher than all of those guys. I've finished top-6 in Banquet several times. Focus less on the money and more on what is pro-player, pro-fairness, and pro-fun.

I just have a few things to say:-

To @AngstyAngus , thank you very much for your pass finance support to the game, I'm one of the many the benefited from the. However much you have spent to have the 6th biggest account and highest Prestige, it is clear that you have invested a lot (and a lot more than most) into this game.
This is just an example of how the players are feeling right now, would Kabam feel the lost from just 1 player stop spending 25k, maybe that much, but @AngstyAngus isn't the only player that lost faith in Kabam.

So may 25k is not worry amount for Kabam, but what if it is 25k x 2, x 3, x 30? Would they worry then, because with the way thing are going it is a really possibility.

Whatever the middle ground is, the lost of excitement on new champs is visible, and so is the reluctant to invest into these champs too. New champs sales have been a good stable source of income for Kabam, so it is quite dangerous when players lots interest in it.

Sure is a good time for Kabam to reevaluate and rebuild trust with the community, stop the arrogant and start listening, these are not just players, they are you customers.

If you're that far into it, then you should know how the Champion review process works by now and with an Account ranked 6th, you're not hurting from one Champ.

In any case, they're not likely going to stop reviewing Champions and making changes when necessary just because someone spends. They're earning a salary for the development and upleep of the game. Not from any Player spending.

Ah, you were dispatched. Now I know that I'm cooking with gas. For those who don't know you, GroundedWisdom, after all these years of being a paid shill for Kabam, your comments are worthless. Sure, someone at Kabam gets a salary. Where does the money come from? You? Nah. The Vancouver Citizens' Gaming Consortium (VCGC)? Nope. It comes from players like me, and certainly not from the ever-present, ever-defending shills like "GroundedWisdom."

We are all playing a game that is so broken that you can't even click things without the spinning wheel on the bottom right corner. The game crashes regularly. The newly released "good" champs are nerfed based on faulty logic while the most broken defenders ever released are left untouched.

GroundedWisdom, after all of these years, is there not a large enough rock for you to crawl under? I consider your response a privilege. I just haven't figured out if you are the Kabam CEO or the Kabam CEO's middle-school-aged child.

Not rebalancing serpent was one of the biggest blunders you have ever made and it has and will continue to haunt you and the game far more than Hercules ever could

It is a business, nothing personal.

As long as it is something that cannot be taken to court, which in a mobile gaming industry happens very rarely cuz people rarely read the T&C pages, companies of this size having so many "addicted" customers already would not stress over the loss of 1 or 2, or 10 of big "whales".

They create a problem (Serpent, energy famine, BGs decline, etc.), and then sell the solutions, which brings way more profit than we pay attention to. If the decision has been made, regardless of the reasoning they tell us or the backlash the community would have after that solution, Kabam always estimates the damage to be done. Not to their reputation or the player base`s mental health, but to the revenue and the monetization model as well as the "pleaser" filter.

In a nutshell, there will always be people who bring a lot of revenue to Kabam. Game is becoming popular, new platform release, more sales events, people become richer, more competitive and easy to "lose" the investments they make. I bet there are so many "whales" in the game who do not know what goes on in forums here. They just play the game, as it is, or they don`t. And then other 10 or 20 new whales will come after them. C`est la vie.

100%. We all have been having issues with what's going on. Everyone's saying "if you quit it doesn't hurt kabam at all" and now we have signs of people that will have an impact saying what the majority of us are. All while still having people ride with Kabam over the community.

Numbers don't lie. Kabam's MCOC revenue is down 50% over their 2020 numbers. Five years, and 50%. You can argue about COVID, or anything else, but the game is reeling. Kabam's response has beento bleed the remaining player base dry. There is no one in their right mind who will replace me in a setting where Kabam's plan to bleed the players dry is to be this anti-player. Eventually, the loss of revenue adds up. And all the people defending the indefensible are left with nothing to defend. Only Kabam can decide if they are trying to keep the game running. I assume that they have an end-game date already.

And of course, I can’t prove the game is dying either. But to take the attitude that it doesn’t matter AT ALL when a service company (with a product that literally has millions of substitutes to compete with) gets into an oppositional relationship with a significant portion of its customer base? If you think that doesn’t matter, I think you might be surprised in the coming months.

I thought it was interesting to get the POV from someone who obviously spends more than I ever could, but then you posted this nonsense about @GroundedWisdom. So you think Kabam, a company that at least seems from an outside perspective has been cutting spending and job positions over the last couple years, is paying Grounded Wisdom to post on their behalf? Grounded Wisdom has received more hate/dislike on these forums than just about anyone else. People will literally disagree with their posts even if it is something as simple as "water is wet"…why would Kabam pay for that type of reaction? Make no mistake, Grounded and I have disagreed on certain things over the years, but have always been able to discuss differing opinions rationally and with mutual respect. Disagree with them all you want, but the "paid shill" angle is tired and makes no sense.

Man I remember when people made posts defending broken defenders being needed to create new design space…. Look at where things now. What a great “design” space 🙄

The rebalancing program would need to look at him and Enchantress in my opinion. Because in order to handle those defenders Kabam has to push out attackers like SW that they feel a need to nerf… because they can beat Serpent when they aren’t supposed too… but why was she designed so strongly because Enchantress has a million abilities to deal with and that was her target match up… it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know she’ll counter 90% of the rest of the game with that match up target.

Nico is in a similar position… she was designed to shutdown Dark Phoenix, Thanos and Serpent… oh and btw she also can work against buff immunity because order of operations hurts players even though it disagrees with the plain text. If she doesn’t get nerfed (which she should based on the SW arguments) it’s because a certain designer blows too much smoke about his babies and Kabam want to avoid the obvious land mine. Still, she’s broken because 2 out of her three target matches are broken with a million abilities.

Arrogance is how we got here, humility would see us out of it… I’m not holding my breath though.

I think that the entire community, at present, has a different take on the situation than disagreeing that "water is wet." I hope, for GroundedWisdom's sake, that he is a paid defender on these forums. Otherwise, the devotion is suspect in and of itself. I cannot imagine relentlessly and almost hermetically agreeing with a company that has made this many decisions against the satisfaction and health of its player base, but here we are and here he is. Paid actor, cult member, first-cousin? It doesn't matter to me. The message has been one-note for years. And the message, right now, is failing.
