You can earn 5 Research Grants from BG 7 days after they become useless? Huh?

In the Outpost store it says that the Research grants will expire on Wed but Battlegrounds doesn't end until the next Wed and you can earn 5 research grants by getting to Vibranium 1.
Does this confuse anyone else how we can get Research Grants after they expire?

I don't care much for this season; but yeah if the research grants are at GC entry there is nothing wrong with the store timer.

@BringPopcorn There is something wrong with the store timer because the store timer expires 7 days before Battlegrounds ends

There is nothing wrong, the saga has an end date, people getting to GC after that date is not the timers fault.
