Raid pools have been updated

And it sure would be great if Kabam announced or posted the updates somewhere prior to it happening. Can't imagine it takes that much work to be at least a little proactive.

Kabam is killing their own game. Players rank up champs to use in certain aspects of the game. I ranked up Purg just for Raids. Soon as someone gets an edge Kabam wipes it away to try and force us to spend $ to either rank up a new champ or on units to clear the map. I spend money on the game but not after this. It’s infuriating. Im half tempted to quit playing. My first time posting here and complaining after playing the game since its inception. I’ve tolerated all of the dumb moves Kabam has made but my tolerance is at its limit.

I agree and I disagree.

A healthy thing for the game is to give players (or perhaps force players into) an opportunity to diversify their rosters and learn how to use more than just a few champs. The game used to be that way, but it's too complicated for that. Players that rely on certain champs to no end tend to develop less skill. Yes, we are talking about one game mode in the context of this post, but it still stands. It is healthy for the game for players to know how to use more champs.

But I also get the frustration that can come from ranking up a champ for something specific and then not being able to use them for that. It stinks to make an investment into a champ and then feel like they are useless, though Purgatory is certainly not an example of a useless or one trick pony champ. However, Purgatory has been usable in raids for months, even multiple months after players discovered she can essentially cheese raids. So it's not like Kabam just took her out because they realized she was too good. If anything, there is better argument that they left her in longer than could've been expected and actually made a pro-player move in that direction.

The biggest issue here is not that Kabam changed the pools, and it really isn't so much who they took out or who they added. The main issue is their failure to communicate changes proactively. We used to have the new pools, nodes and defenders in advance of any changes so we could actually plan and prepare. Not so much anymore.

i have a pretty diverse roster. 7 R4s, 32 R3s. I like trying new champs. I’ve played each role in NM raids. Have a good success in all of them. I ranked purg up because yes she is easy to use and was a raid cheat code but i did it because not everyone is successful in raids and I can be the anchor for my lane if someone else struggles. She made it so i didn't have to spend $ or a lot of resources.

He's still in. Just pop into solo raids and you can see who's in the pool pretty easily.

Raids are not for a few weeks.
Many things are happening beforehand, and the mode update will be announced in the same way it always is.

@Kabam (Osaurus) Rex to me this is the type of response that has been making me upset with the game lately. If these type of changes are going to be live with each update wouldn’t it make sense to have this info readily available at the start? This would greatly help curb any confusion/speculation from the player base and could help make the forums less clogged up. I like to plan things out so I already want to start making sure my alliance has new champs and shuffling roles if needed so everyone has time to practice new roles or champs.

You're acting as though champ pools haven't been switched around multiple times since raids inception.

If you chose to rank Purgatory up specifically for raids, cool, but it was inevitable they would take her our eventually. Just like they do with other champs. She's not special.

A heads up on pool change would be great. Certain Solo raids objectives are now out of reach because champs are not ranked up or only available at low rarity. You guys announce SO many other things that are changing BEFORE they change. This could have maybe been in the release notes.

THing is "Solo Raid" is a daily objective and one of the best ways to get experience. Players are getting objectives like "use a science champ" and seeing Titania/Silk gone, or similar for Mystic for Juggs/Kushala (and I am sure others, but that's what I've noticed so far).

Additionally, I am not immediately seeing any champs new to the list to replace them.

Again, if this were something we could wait a couple more weeks for the main Raid… I could support this (even though I'd want to know at least a week ahead of time to consider rank ups once the raid preview is set in AQ signup), but with solo-raids a thing… some kind of announcement should have been given… even if just to say "with the new saga, raid champ pools will be updating with the new release, more information to follow"… it would have been something.
