Thoughts on the super skrull buff
Im about as experienced a super skrull player as you can get and im really liking it. The one thing that's surprising is that i think the buff has a bigger impact for people that arent used to playing him than it probably does for people that are, its basically removing a lot of the rigidity from his kit to make his damage more accessible so that is probably how it should feel, but it really does highlight to me that he was already good it just took a lot of getting used to.
The changes to the falter and energy Vulnerability are probably the biggest thing honestly, you can basically keep one of them up the entire fight now and thays huge for his damage, though the change in timing is throwing me off a little haha.
Refreshing the undermine and vigilance on his sp1 is really nice but unless you need both it kinda screws up his rotation to try and keep them up. Imo you still want to be building armour first, converting to fury during the first cosmic overload and then converting back to armour when the next one starts, but if you absolutely need both effects its probably fairly easy to keep them up as long as you sacrifice his damage.
The new buff thresholds are good, but as I say I think anyone used to playing him will barely notice a difference because you basically play him the exact same way just with more room for error. I did manage to get 6 fury and 6 armour going into a cosmic overload once and being unnlockable with nova fists feels incredible but I really doubt its gonna be the ideal way to play him. The fact that it's possible is cool but it honestly makes him require a lot more focus and maths than he ever did before so I wouldn't recommend it.
He still feels like he needs pretty high sig to be played perfectly, but he has way more room for error now which is probably about what he needed. I still think he should be able to store the effects of his converted buffs during cosmic overload because as I've said many many times, if you have furies active during cosmic overload you're probably playing him wrong, but this is about as big a buff as I expected.
His ideal rotation imo is still build 5 armour, use sp2 right before overload ends to convert to fury, build furies to enter another cosmic overload with nova fists, then use sp1 immediately to convert the fury to armour and use sp2 right before overload ends, then just repeat until they're dead. I imagine he'll be nice with some of the new energy penetration relics coming this patch because all of his damage is from those incinerates and then becoming nova flame against tech when awakened is pretty huge for him. Still would have liked some armour break or pulverise but I won't be too picky.
Tldr: he will feel basically the same to anyone that knew how to play him well but will be a lot easier for anyone that hasn't played to get the hang of.
