The structure of elders difficulty feels like a soft nerf to your favorite characters.
I was commenting on somebody’s discussion post about why elder difficulty just feels very un fun or very un worth the rewards and I think one of the problems is the idea of one character per fight structured events.
It’s fine if you have one of these type of things every once in a while for Everest content, but I think that’s one of the things that is so boring about elders difficulty. I understand that some people like to have to strategize which champs they use and when but for the rest of us, it’s like, why would I want to have to sit here for 3-5 minutes, fighting these 9 giant health pool champs with Rank 1 attackers because I have to save my 3 rank 4s specifically for certain nodes even though they can completely make these non optimal fights bare-able.
Again, I know some people like that format, and of course to each their own, but for me, it almost feels like a very subtle/abstract nerf to your favorite champions and how you’ve chosen to develop your roster.
