Not even a little bit. Its just to milk you out of items and to get you to rank champs you would never rank. Nodes are out dated.
There's nothing fun about this game at the moment.
Lol no
not interested in it since the change .
The first iteration of Val EQ was okay. They should've given us that with higher health and attack stats
I certainly enjoy Elder over the previous TB EQ- I hadn't done EQ for maybe a year until the Valiant gauntlet trial and now Elder.
It's easy enough but just a tad on the long side with 96 fights- removing 2 defenders from each quest might make enough of a difference. Needing 1 clear through Classic is bit more tedious too.
I decided to just explore classic and used the champs I wanted for the paths. I found that at least somewhat more enjoyable with minimal reward loss
It needs two more things (that they haven't said are already in progress) to get to a good spot:
Reduced attack values and/or heal on swap (or at least every 3 fights)
Nodes that more broadly benefit the given class or additional nodes that give an alternate route to the beneficial nodes.
In addition to the changes of removing the classic difficulty requirement and allowing players to choose their difficulty, which they have said are coming, if they can do those two things it will be in a pretty good spot.
I don't think it's too difficult, but it is definitely too boring. The nodes are old and it feels like a chore. Also I'd prefer champs healing to full HP on swap, using r2 6* results in huge block damage
If the rewards are great for the difficulty (you need 15 champions per quest, that's 90 champions for the entire elder difficulty) den it's fine but it's not great rewards
I would honestly like it if they could reduce the number of fights from 15 to 10, plus the boss fight, and let us use a team of 3 or 5 champions throughout the entire quest.
I enjoyed it. Thought it was the perfect amount of challenging. Fights were 2-3 (could be less if you had the right counters) minutes which is perfectly acceptable for a once and done type of content monthly.
Some defenders I found annoying. Punisher 2099 sucked due to block damage and some others. But, there was often enough fights where you could heal to full pretty easily and save resources. I enjoyed it, much more than Thronebreaker of the previous iteration. That felt just as long and too easy to really make me want to do it.
Found the rewards to be great for the limited resources I had to spend to obtain them.
I do wish the second iteration wasn't borked the first time around because I enjoyed being able to heal at some of the boss fights with 1 and 2 star champs. I feel like that would be ultimately preferable to the current run even if they did do multiple paths.
No, personally I think its a subtle nerf to your favorite characters and synergies. Can't use any synergies, cant use your favorite characters more than once. No one has enough R4's to make it streamline so most of us are using under ranked champions to drudge through it. I've tried since it came out but I have not once been able to find the energy or the care to do it fully.
There definitely needs to be less fights or split into paths like 2 paths for the last chapter. I get the no healing throughout but there needs to be a way to allow it. Maybe having 2 different classes you are allowed to bring in would be an option. Something that is slightly helpful but isn't a cheese option. For example: Tech class. Robots don't get will power so they won't heal. None of the fights in the path had defenders that could apply debuffs so non robots couldn't heal. The only way to heal was to have an iron man suit and drop below 15% (if you had them awakened). Maybe have a mini boss halfway through that you heal after or something. It's close to being ok, and the only reason I did it all was I had everything expiring. I will likely be in the same boat when next month comes out so I'll do it then too.
I have a big roster so its not bad plus i love the extra free time once it is done
Relatively less time required than the old version with TB, Paragon and Valiant Gauntlet. Used some revives but not significant. Would prefer around 10 fights per quest, bonus points if health is restored with each swap
I did Elder EQ this month and thought it was ok but I believe TB Elder is different to Valiant in that you can take a whole team of whatever 5 champs you want to rather than swapping champs after each fight
They took this long to give us an upgrade to TB, and all they did is put the defenders in a single path with the same nodes, turn it into a gaunlet and input an increase of x% amount of health and attack power.... All this years waiting for the laziest design possible
Kind of
To be fair (to no one), this is technically just another Cav EQ upgrade. All the nodes are from Cav EQ, and TB EQ was just Cav with more health and attack.
Add one full heal node (like Incursions) to the halfway point of each quest and it's fixed. It's still too long and I miss the Valiant Gauntlet, but if we're stuck with this iteration then that's the line in the sand for me.
That is fair; but considering how long they took to give us this, they took the laziest route possible, and they didn't even bother to test it. I seriously wonder who in the right mind thought locking the elder difficulty behind the completion of classic was a good idea. Anybody who actually plays the game as a player would have had an objection and said "This seems like a waste of time to expect from a player... Lets just allow them to go straight to elder..."
No! Absolutely
I love the rewards update and top 30 prestige but I hate the single fight format. No synergies, have to take off recoil, takes a lot more time and planning. If possible, revert it back to a full team of champs again.
No, I am done within 2 days and don’t know what to play except arena. I am not a Alliance member + don’t play BG
another reason I just explored classic. I am 100% focusing on unit acquisition… still got all the units, kept recoils on, saved 70 units by not flipping them off and on, and blitzed arena milestones while I explored over multiple days.
Honestly I'm neutral. I would probably like it more if it was structured like Crucible: harder fights but full health refill every switch
