Why Does Kabam Allow Modders?

As you can see from the Discussion above, we have a case of a modder.

We all encounter them. Sometimes the same modders, and sometimes within one win of surpassing a level or point threshold.

And as Kabam demands $1,000 four times a year to stay current in the mode, I would like to know what the company is doing about cheaters.

Because after the conclusion of last season, after the conclusion of Kabam’s award calculation period, and after several days of the mode being idle, as we enter a new season today, the modder’s account on the attached discussion is still active.

Accordingly, I think the community should demand accountability from Kabam concerning modders. If Kabam can protect content creators in real time, punishing modders and awarding points to streamers immediately, the least they can do is return points to players who have had their points stolen. And they need do so during their 2-day reward calculation period, taking the correct, updated results into account when distributing awards.

As Banquet approaches, Kabam will certainly be asking for more units and money. And more of both than last year, more than the year before.

I believe Kabam needs to provide answers, transparency, and accountability in exchange.

In the meantime, I implore everyone to keep a log of their BG season in regards to modders. Keep a note on your phone, and update it with the usernames of modders you’ve played over the season. And at the beginning of Season 34, let us reconvene and see what, if anything, Kabam has done with our cheating reports.

They don't allow Modders. They take action all the time. What they can't do is stop them before they do it.

Probably. That’s what was suggested.

But Kabam ran in and saved Lags and Bero in the middle of matches. They were watching streams or something, sitting at work with their finger on the red button.

And they were made aware to community managers in his discussion. So, even if he didn’t report, he did here. And, you know, it has been a couple weeks?

I submit every time myself. I submit a support ticket as well. Yet, I keep seeing the same modders.

You now how everything else is with the game. A common trope is - Is Kabam incompetent, or are they doing it on purpose?

I've come to learn that you tend to make lots of assumptions. A guy made a post about a potential cheater.

You don't know if he's actually reported what he thinks to be cheating or not and yet you speak as if that's the case. We suggest a lot of things all the time but that doesn't mean folks will go to through the official channels as some just want to vent and bring awareness then call it a day.

I think you use the forums as an excuse to writing essays for others to read, don'tcha?

I’ve come to learn that you arrive after certain hours, writing sloppily, looking to play devil’s advocate.

He reported it here. That will suffice for me. He doesn’t have to download Discord, tag MCOC on X, and swipe right on DLL’s Grindr profile for the company to enforce their own TOS.

Certainly not in their “Most competitive game mode,” on the cusp of their tremendous 3rd anniversary extravaganza, culminating with a much anticipated Battlerealm Brawl.

Just report on the game, that is the official method and is quite easy, just click on one button.

To believe yourself so clever, you dont know how to do things and that you cant post player name at forum when accuse of cheating, it is against TOS.

Well sure, the ones who were on the streams and saw it happen with their own eyes were able to push for quick action. But a post made on the forums which are increasingly barren of mod presence doesn't get action? Shocking.

Unless you're lucky enough to have a Kabam employee actively watching your stream, the quickest way by a long shot to get action is to report it in-game and hopefully the data that they look at confirms clear guilt.

It is indicative of the state of the game. But it doesn’t make it acceptable.

If they can return points to someone in real time, they can return points to people upon the conclusion of the season.
