Next r4 help. Spiderwoman vs. Photon?

Photon or Spiderwoman to R4? I still think spiderwoman is good despite her nerf…she’s just going to lose a lot of utility. Plan on doing epoch soon and going to use photon on the leftmost path and she’s very consistent in BGs. Haven’t seen any updated epoch paths and if I can use spiderwoman for the photon fights on the leftmost path, I’ll rank her instead because she is so good.

I’m more concerned with epoch use. I’ve seen photon in everyone’s epoch team for the far left path. Haven’t seen Spiderwoman in any, but she released a lot later than people were doing epoch

You ALWAYS go best overall, especially when resources are limited. If they are not, then you pick based on best for specific content etc. It's not remotely up for debate that SW clears Photon as an attacker overall.

SW would work on that far left path just fine - the only time you really would want Photon over SW is if you need a miss counter.

Looking over the fights of that path, only 2 are really undesirable for SW - Infamous IM I think you shouldn't have lots of buffs which rules SW out with her furies, and Jabari would cleanse a lot of the debuffs - potentially Hulkling as well but that could still work…maybe?

I went with photon. I'll check sw after her nerf and if she's worth it then only I'll r4 her. The resources aren't that limited now

go with spider women , more damage on offence , on defence both do the same thing turn of dex and sw sever debuff cant be srugged off

Photon, SW nerf is a lot bigger than people are realizing. I would not have R4'd her without the 30 decrease in AAR.

well dang now I’m conflicted again. Spiderwoman always gets banned in BGs anyway and photon always gets let through and usually gets me a dub since most people don’t have a r3 or r4 crossbones and there’s really not a TON of photon counters. Everybody and their mother has okoye tho. If I do rank SW, I just want to make SURE I can use her IN PLACE of photon on that leftmost epoch path

No way anyone seriously think photon is better than SW overall. Sw is better than photon is every possible way, and even in defense they are quite equal, unless some node like current one charges photon. And on attack SW is 3 times better than photon, same with utility. The nerf barely affects spiderwomen I bet 95% of you won't even recognise it once it goes live. and it is indeed a buff for her in attack since severe fumbles helps when you need evade counter against skill champs or purify node.

If it wasnt a huge piece of her kit, Kabam would have just taken ensnare off of defense. They are nerfing her because it wrecks abilities. They obviously valued that more than stopping evade which 15 other champions do. If you need a big damage champ take her up, that wont change. If you are looking for utility she isnt going to be as good after the nerf.
