I know kabam employees are busy in the Fest preparation , it will be nice to know an expectation date for balance update( it's not mid oct anymore or its like mid week comp 😂)

Can't wait for this shitstorm today, no matter what the announcement is they're going to take a humongous L unless they announce she will be in the Banquet crystals or milestones or that there will be a way to get her f2p soon. If they: A) Nerf her then they're going to have a wave of disappointed raging whales and arena grinders and they will completely lose all credibility when it comes to champion sales that aren't in the plat track, and if they: B) Don't nerf her and don't make an announcement about when f2p players will be able to get her then they're going to have another "wtf Serpent isn't getting nerfed?" situation for the next week or two because Dark Phoenix is a stupidly overpowered defender AND she already has less viable counters than Serpent so the fact that only p2w and arena grinders will have access to her for who knows how long just feels like a low blow.

In my opinion. If they decide to tune her down they HAVE to go back and rebalance serpent, enchantress, and captain Britain. There's no world in which they can touch dark phoenix and it be an acceptable thing to do if they dont admit fault and rebalance the others.

And they would never do that so I dont think she's getting tuned down. I think she's staying as is or at the most they're going to tune down the nova flame when she's immortal.

They backed themselves into a corner with this one. They tested the waters with the spiderwoman nerf and it backfired spectacularly for the reasons above so it's no wonder why it's taking them so long for this announcement.

I am genuinely so excited to see what they do with Nico and Karolina next. I've found that I use Karolina wayyy more than Nico, but I think Nico is way more powerful (and a DLL champ) than Karolina, so it's like, do they nerf both….neither….Is everything good bad now? Like what has happened to this game?

Doesn't really matter in the long run. Any time something shiny and new is introduced in the game, focus is shifted and things are forgotten about. Sure, you still here whispers every now and then, but the emotional tie to these decisions fade.

If players made it through 12.0, then they can make it through a nerf/rebalance.

nico - no nerf as what will u do reduce her buff immunity she will be useless - her poison damage are stuck behind the sigs

karolina - same case but the incinerate burst might get reduced , glancing is fine

To be completely fair, it is only 07:57 right now in Vancouver, so not expecting anything yet.

Nerf DP and we better get a significant unit comp. No way people would drop those resources for a defender who is less than what she is….

If she is bad for the game (and she is) then Kabam better make restitution for those who went all in or they are going to unwind income faster going forward than most of us thought…. The selling champ model will be DOA

Agreed, rank down tickets in the form of units. That would be so intense, for money spenders but the real brutality is the F2P players who saved so, so many units and dropped on that.

I wasn’t F2P but my spending was the unit pass, platinum passes…. And the rest arena grinding. I pushed the button on the final milestones because of how OP she was. I had managed all the champs and dupes I wanted without maxing out that event. But she was too good not to throw the whole stash at. Nerfing her would be far worse than a titan luck and rank up nerf. So of course I expect Kabam to handle it the worst way possible.

DP is not going to get nerfed for sure. They would never annoy thewhales when 2 sales are coming in next 2 months. And DP is not an issue for most players since she was exclusve and very less players have her, unlike serpent or enchantress. Same with captain britain until now. Thats why we dont have million threads complaining how unfair DP or CB is.

Actually I still havent even fought or even banned a CB in bgs before. Not even once. I have no idea how her new kit works except for if you crit you take neuro damage. Maybe if CB enters titan we may see negative reactions but DP simply wont get nerfed because it will annoy whales.

I agre with point B there would be some outrage but as a FTP I seriously hope DP stays exclusive so only guys on top tier need to deal with her.

So my theory we would get announcement at these time if:-

10:00 am Vancouver - if it bad news (i.e no changes)

3:00 pm Vancouber - if it is pretty bad news (i.e nerf DP)

6:00pm Vancouver - if it is really really funny news (i.e buff DP on Def)

Now I know what you are thinking, what about good news, what time would it be, the answer, it would 6:00pm 15th Oct. 🤣
