Rebalance Program =/= Buff Program ?

Hi @KabamPinwheel and @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex ,

Can we just confirm, the Rebalance Program is different to the Buff Program (Mr Sinister, Cyclops, Captain Britain, Rhino) right?

I mean, futuee champions release will not be review for rebalancing.

However Kabam are still planning to buff old champions eg Iron Patriot, Captain America, Groot (ok maybe not Groot, can't lose a running joke), ect right?

Those characters are not in the patch list through rebalancing program.

They’re tuned up for many reasons like meta-hero rework, rework for Double-Track, Christmas Hero Rework even only a surprise sometimes. You don’t need to worry about them because their reworks are always on schedule.

But for our little Dracula or High Evo or Cassandra or Silver Samurai, that’s a bit unfortunate (please don’t argue the strength of them in the post, just call for an example)

New champs can wait for their buffs. Kabam should focus on buffing old champs the community has been asking for instead

I'd like to have the kabam dev that decided this to actually come in the forum and give a real explanation for it since mike's post isn't explaining anything but I guess the dev would be too scared to show up and put their face on it. I think they haven't come up with a good enough excuse not to nerf dark phoenix which is not healthy at all for the game and they decided to just quit to avoid problems

I’m not surprised this as happened. the balance program isn’t fit for purpose. After failing to rebalance serpent and others and the debacle over spider woman they really can’t justify adjusting any champ after this. I really believe from here on they should leave new champs as they are and concentrate on bringing the older champs inline. They don’t need to make them op just make them relevant

"Mid champs released/will be released since may 2025 will stay as it is, but if we think a champ is too OP we may reserve the right to nerf them. But don't worry, we will make sure no champs ends up even SLIGHTLY BROKEN hereafter, even that means making new champs "intentionally" a little mid. Sure, this doesn't affect buffing older champs, but the new buffs will more close to champs like red skull, cyclops or Anti venom, and not like sinister, cull or red guardian. That is, decent, but no more game breaking or OP buffs."

@Csutton , please note that @Kabam (Osaurus) Rex (Mike) are not involved in the decision make regarding Spider Woman changes.

He is the Community manager, he role are meant to be the point of communication between the players and Kabam team.

On the note of Spider Woman, if Kabam believe that the Rebalance Program were not aligns with MCoC need, then no need to change Spider Woman.

Why would there be a line between Spider Woman need to be nerf and Dark Phoenix and Yelena will not, when did the Rebalance program no longer align with MCoC?

I woudl say it stop align with MCoC awhile now, especially after Patroit "buff".

Just release what the team have done up to. I assumed much work have been done with Deathless Vision, and maybe only little on Toad and Green Falcon, and none on Spider Woman.

So just release:-

Deathless Vision (changed)

Green Falcon - Just leave him as is.

Toat - Just leave him as is

Spider Woman - Just leave her as is

The Rebalance team and take a break and put the feet up 🤣

I’m aware. That’s why I “communicated” with him. I know it’s not his doing but he is the point of contact. I do wish he’d explain/clarify the timing, or just be honest and admit this is all about Dark Phoenix. Does anyone believe they’d be shutting down the rebalance program if dark phoenix wasn’t next in line?

And agreed. Spider Woman needs to be left alone!

Telling ya, banquet is around the corner. Probably have to get lucky with banquet crystals or hope to make it to top ranks. She's a trophy champ. All other trophy champs (not counting deathless) are always part of banquet.
