Overhype or genuine critique?

I noticed that some creators are saying that pavitr was broken but while actually looking at his kit I generally don’t see how. Maybe I’m desensitised due to Nico’s cosmic destroying kit but is he really? What are your thoughts on him? I think he’s solid but I wouldn’t think he’s nerf worthy or anything

It seems like people hate the fact that instead of making dark Pheonix and Serpent less broken, they keep releasing these perfect counters that most people won't even be able to get for months

I suggest you read the kit again and watch gameplay. Top 5 mystic for sure. Maybe even top 3

He seems pretty solid and perhaps top 5 mystic is a shout when reading his kit but I wouldn’t label him as broken personally

If you're ever going to spend $ on a champ, picking up the pass this time around seems like a good investment. His burst damage bypasses a lot of the built-in safeguards that the meta defenders have (death immunity, Yelena's damage reduction, Sentinel…even DT's last protection phase).

Problem with the videos is that they are all with a r4, sig200, so who knows how well he'll do at lower ranks/levels. Time will tell, but he looks like a lot of fun to play.

If the attacker makes the defenders entire kit irrelevant then they are broken. So yeah, he's broken in a similar but not as bad a way as nico.

In fact nico is as big a problem for the game as serpent and dark pheonix are (were, with these two mystic champs running around it will become pointless having them in your deck at all soon) as she deletes an entire class making it difficult going forward to make future cosmic defenders in the same way nimrod ruined the mutant class for ages. Just no one complains about it because she's an attacker.

I don't think he's broken, but he does seem to deal with a couple of the toughest defenders out there. However, it is important to note that there are already several options to deal with those same defenders. It's just that those are champs that a lot of people for various reason don't want to rank up, such as Symbiote Supreme (Serpent), Spidey Supreme (Serpent) and Diablo (Dark Phoenix). There just haven't been a big unifying champ who have been able to deal with all of them at once. Maybe Nico, I only just pulled her and haven't had the chance to rank her up and try her out yet.

I don't see him as some kind of unstoppable menace that will forever change the game. If the next Cosmic champion is immune to Power Steal or ability accuracy reduction, Pavitr is going to struggle a lot. It doesn't take a lot to shut significant parts of his kit down.

I think the cosmic class defensively is progressing to thorns who knows maybe it'll be energy based thorns. Cos pavitrs attacks are non contact against cosmics. There currently is no cosmic where you'd want that utility so its more of a foreshadow of where to cosmic class is headed defensively thats a cosmic champions nico will not be able to take.

I definitely don't like how they may have decided to ditch BUFFS being the cosmics main thing for now unavoidable damage. They wouldn't have to do it if they didn't release buff immunity.

Unfair mechanics call for more unfair mechanics according to kabam now.
