I LOVE THIS GAME

Ok, just to set this out, I am not the average MCOC player. I am an outlier. I am a weirdo. I run ten accounts. I am an oddball. My views do not represent the end game, Valiant, summoners. I can see a lot of negativity around various actions and communications being put out there, I do think some errors have been made, I do feel that due to the nature of a game that has such a strong level of community engagement, there will always be some tension between the player base and the Kabam team.

What I do see is a huge amount of effort and passion and love for the game and community that cannot be faked. I do not take everything Kabam say at face value because I understand that any profit driven company can never be fully transparent, but I do see the Kabam team devouring feedback and responding when they can, taking on board player sentiment. Its not perfect, it never will be, but I do see effort and changes being made.

From my perspective, I am absolutely loving everything Kabam are doing (lets ignore the Spiderwomen nerf for a moment, and OG Thor remaining irrelevant) from champ buffs, to new champs to new games modes and UX.

The design for this months SQ (Super easy for the top level players) is absolute genius for my skill level. It's forcing me to play perfectly, with no missed attacks, no missed dexes etc. With some limited rosters in the Saga pool, some of the fights are very challenging and I can only finish them with perfect play. Its the most enjoyable content I have done in a while. I love it.

When I look at the Coliseum, what I am seeing is a mode of play that will build my confidence and ability to take on Everest level content, which at the moment, for my skill level would be very depressing and/or hilarious content to watch.

The alternative route to progression was a (Kabam Jesus) godsend. Ascension is amazing, my battlegrounds decks are so much stronger with ascended R5 six stars filling out my distinct lack of 30 R3 seven stars.

I have seen SOOOOOO many of my Wishlist champs enter the game (Ares, Spiral, Hi Evo, Bastion, Silver Samurai, Galactus (Galan), Destroyer, Bill) and the only champs I am waiting to see enter now are Shatterstar and the Wrecking Crew - make it happen guys (also remove the two fight thingy with AirWalker please).

Just wanted to give some positive feedback, to let you guys know that there are players out there who are having so much fun with this game.

You guys are awesome. Even Dave and his endless infinity puns.

there is no question they are putting effort into the game, but there is also no question that they need to put MUCH effort and “investmemt” into fixing core mechanics of the game and performance issues.

The game has run for over 10 years and the majority of that time (in one way or another has been plagued by them).

Many keep referencing “negativity “ or posts being “insensitive “ or people having “feelings”,…(and i get that).

The fact is that coming from behind a screen it’s never really personal even if it’s perceived that way (how can it be) ? Lol.

I think both the community and the game team need to be a bit “thicker skinned”,,,you know? ..(water off a ducks back).

Otherwise how does the community and game team work together and communicate for the best possible MCOC gaming experience?

I agree with most of that, I do think some comments could be less hostile though. I get the frustrations but some comments can be just hateful. I think rather than being less sensitive I think people could just chill more with their hostility.

Hey good for you, total different perspective from most players that are invested on 1 account. It makes total sense, you are still playing the past content over and over while we are disgusted with the state of everything new.

I am curious though, when you describe the champs that you love and wished for a long time, what rarity are we talking about? And how did Ares make it to that list?

yes and that’s the contrast,,,the “hateful” comments in comparison to ones folks are just being overly sensitive over.

That being said it’s not overly terrible to let people vent their frustrations and sometimes they fire off ( i think that’s part of human nature),.,if i’m not mistaken.

Take a look at Fox news public commentary, and then take Mcoc forums absolute “worst day”.

It’s like a nice sunny walk in the park in comparison, and whether you agree with the dialogue or not,.,folks still communicate there.

I mostly play AW and BG. Ares is on the list for being in the game. I'm hoping he'll become a playable champ eventually. I have them all as 7 stars (except for Ares obvs).

I spend very little. Maybe €200 a year. Bear in mind, i have most of them on different accounts. I got very lucky pulls with the recent double compensation.

Have you never had a heated argument with a close friend, family member or spouse? You still love them though. People voicing frustrations about the game doesn't mean they don't love the game. The game has been here for almost 11 years. So definitely there is love for the game. Doesn't mean we can't criticize them when they do dumb stuff. Some of the decisions made lately or stuff added to the game before getting changed later, any long time player can tell you that won't land well. Sometimes my personal frustration is what's the point of hiring members of the community when looking at some of these decisions made. And then they act surprised it wasn't received well, lol. Do these players turn employees just forget what it's like to be an MCOC player when they get hired?
