Spider Egg Event

I completed the event using SpiderWan, Jock O and Jean Grey. I did not receive the Spider Egg special reward. Do I need to complete with ONLY spider verse heroes/symbiotes ORdo I just to finish the last fight with a spider verse hero/symbiote? The event says to USE a (not only) spider verse or symbiote. Just want clarity.

The first fight you can defeat VTD with any character (reverse control immune). In the second fight you have to defeat Howard the duck with one Spider verse character (spider heroes or symbiotes)

Technically only the second quest applies to the objective, you just have to complete the first part to get there.
