Will 7* Rhino Be Available?

It feels weird how Rhino got buffed whilst being 6* locked. Has Kabam announced any way we can get him as a 7*? I guess banquet box could make sense.

He absolutely dominated as a defender in battlerealm brawl so there’ll be a lot of people wanting him (super toxic BGs players like me I guess haha).

Have I missed anything, or is this dude simply not available? Particularly strange for lizard to come out and not take the opportunity to make Rhino available in that feature crystal or something, that would’ve been pretty cool.

Unfortunately, it's a real possibility. The only real options are rhino and scorpion. If they place scorpion in the banquet box, then they will have to get creative with the heart of fire event next year

If you watched the Battlerealm Brawl you'd know Rhino is a very strong defender and him being in it wouldn't really kill the value. He's ass on attack but for people who play BGs competitively it's a must have on defense

I did watch the brawl and that's exactly why he would kill the value of the box. Defenders arent exciting and dont carry the same level of hype as an attacker or even a dual threat.

When we see a new defender we dont go "holy ****! A new defender that's awesome! I need them right now!"

We go "oh great. Another new defender."

Very big difference. People dont buy defenders because they love them or want them. People buy defenders because they have to.

Rhino isnt going to sell boxes. He's just another champ in the box. So far nimrod is what's selling the box. They need more and better for such an important banquet

Excitement and hype have nothing to do with value, Rhino adds a lot of value to that box in general if he is in it regardless of whether it’s exciting or not. Serpent is the most annoying defender this game has ever seen, yet the value he held in every sale he was in was insane. Value and excitement don’t go hand in hand these days, it just is what it is.

Actually, when I see a new bs defender I do go “holy **** I need them right now”, not because I enjoy bs defenders but because they do hold a ton of value in competitive game modes. Capt Britain, Dark Phoenix, and Nico are perfect examples of this and I have all of them at r3 for a reason.

I get your point about hype but unfortunately these days bs defenders do hold a lot of value in the game regardless of hype surrounding them and that’s just how it is. Things have changed a lot since last Banquet in terms of defenders, I know it all started with Serpent years ago but at least back then we weren’t getting bs defenders every two months.

Rhino is definitely going to be selling to some extent mainly because of how strong of a defender he is regardless of your enjoyment, and as if that wasn’t enough he is also indirectly going to push people to spend even more since the trophy champ this year is his hard counter. I would be lying if I said Punisher shitting on Rhino isn’t one of the reasons I’m going all in in this upcoming Banquet event.

Because the term they used was “first time 7*” just because we’ve seen 7* Rhino gameplay on the deep dive doesn’t mean he wouldn’t fit this description still, he would be a first time 7* indeed. Talking about use your brain but you don’t even have one to begin with 💀

When the games main source of consistent rewards come from BGs given how much radiance is in there and since other currency doesn't matter nearly as much, im sure less care about "fun" and more care about the meta. You really think people bought Dark Phoenix for fun? (i recall you even got her yourself)

BGs in its early launch before the bs defenders era, was a fun way to make use of defenders that werent overly broken. But the games shifted to the point where the value is all on OP defenders and their strongest counters. New spiderman dropping fights like butter is proof of that . As is gatekeeping champs like Torch or Red Guardian behind offers

The meaning of ? means it hasn't been revealed yet nothing else, no idea what you're even seeing but ? simply means "to be revealed soon".

Their words were first time 7* or surprise buffs, Rhino has already been buffed so he fits in first time 7* category, like I said no brains lol of course we could all be wrong but it's a possibility regardless and saying he would add no value to the box is simply just not true because he already is adding more value than Thor Jane Foster who is virtually going to be **** because there isn't a single thing she can do that ten other mystics can't already do but better and with less ramp.

This exactly, making the claim that something that isn't exciting won't hold value is absolutely ridiculous when we have Serpent, Nico, Yelena, Bullseye, Capt. Britain etc running around everywhere no exceptions. I spent on Dark Phoenix, do I think she's a fun champ to use? Not unless it's long form content. Was I excited when they announced her kit? Hell naw lmfao but did I get her? Yes, because she is absolutely game breaking on defense which is why she's easily my most banned champ in my entire deck. I'm not saying I was forced to spend to get her by Kabam at all it was my choice after all, all I'm saying is she holds a lot of value and gives me a massive advantage which to a certain extent does matter to me.

Rhino isn't obviously on the same level as any of these but he would undeniably be a top 10 defender when he's finally released as a 7*
