Is KP going to be nerfed upon release

I'm excited to have KP join my 7* crew and can't wait for it to happen. Is the rumor true that KP will be nerfed? If so what will be changed. I haven't seen anything or any announcement

It doesn’t make a lick of sense to nerf him at this point… isn’t the goal of announcing him for the banquet realm event to get people excited to potentially acquire him???

i think the actual impact of all the “god tier” champs that were formerly six star locked has been very mild. Tigra, yes. Still insane. Torch, yes, in the right matchups, still insane.

The rest of the HoF champs? Not a big deal. They’re great to have, of course. But I’m not banning FAM. I don’t worry about NF in BGs.

I expect KP and Abs will have a similar impact. Positive for those who acquire them, but not at all game breaking.

He lost too much weight trying to get in shape for his 7* release so they are removing his heavy attack completely. The belly bump isn't as effective without the belly.

The game has changed and the old gods aren't as game breaking anymore. I had Nick at r4 s200 at launch and he's been average at best in battelgrounds. IMO they could release Herc tomorrow and it wouldn't affect the game that much either.

In fact i would even argue Kingpin needs the iBom treatment for BGs. For the same reason of sinister on attack (KP is much worse than sinister on defense so at least having his attack not neutered would make sense)

Kingpin won't be nerfed - there are now enough mutants who directly counter him (onslaught, jean, capt britain, etc) and several nodesi n monthly EQ to dampen his drive (eg removal of willpower in any skill champ quest). Still a great champ and I hope I get him.

Yeah lol it’s funny tho, I remember all the hype for Galan Nick and FAM when they were announced and now nobody even bans them even though I have two of them at r4 sig 100. They’ve really fallen off, and people thinking KP is going to shake the meta to the point he needs to be nerfed is even funnier. CB, Okoye, Zemo, Mole-Man, Valk and Stealthy are all going to be way better than him overall for the current relevant defenders. He’s going to be decent sure but he’s not going to be doing any of the science matchups that matter better than the others other than Photon
