The Most Useless Ability in the Game

(The champ is Cassandra Nova)

Alright, maybe 'niche' is a better word. But I don't think there are any champions that this is naturally useful against. I understand that this can be helpful for some nodes, but having an ability that only works against skill champs who gain regen effects is very odd, since they aren't known for that at all.

A lot of people were saying that Cassandra would counter the upcoming Punisher rework and his indestructible buffs using this Marked effect, but it seems like (unless there's a node adding a regen effect) it won't trigger, making her no better than the average mutant.

I know Black Tarantula was supposed to have some kind of death immunity if he had won the vote, so this ability might be for him since they always add the other Summoner's Choice finalist eventually.

Regardless, it feels a bit pointless right now, and I think it would be a cool move to tweak this ability so that it does counter the Punisher rework. Kabam's got enough on their plate moving into the holiday season though, so I'm not counting on it.

p.s. this champ is super slept on, but you have to idle during the root for max damage

I don't know about this ability your talking about, but I've found that Cassandra Nova is one of if not the best counter for Yelena. It takes a few tries to get it down right, but once you do she destroys Yelena. However, she does require some skill to be effective. She does take the instant bleed damage from Yelena, but, if used properly, heals most of it by the end of the battle.

Basically, just like Gentle was specifically made to be a Bullseye counter, Cassandra Nova was made to be a Yelena counter.

The application of Cassandra’s Marked Passive is quite niche because it is targeted at Skill Defenders placed on Alliance War Path 1 Nodes. Once applied, this Marked will cause the Regeneration effects gained from said nodes to fail, preventing Health from being gained, and preventing other effects from activating based on those Regenerates.

Yeah I made the same mistake before I edited my post. The first part about regen rate is for Nick Fury, the marked passive ability I guess is for an Alliance War node.

Yeah, it definitely seems like an AW node-specific ability. It's certainly better than it not being there, but overall it doesn't add much to her kit in 99% of her use cases for most players.
